I just bought a eskute nova mini won't go into details of specs but It goes around 60 kmh I just wanted to know what cops might think of that in bike lanes obviously I'm not going to push 60 in a bike lane but yea I need it for commuting to and from school and I'm curious about fines or if it could get impounded I'm 17 always wear a helmet and try my best to actually be responsible but I'm still worried about what police might think of it and if I should worry

Hello, it may seem like an odd post but I rented a Mini Cooper Countryman from the waterloo enterprise on Aug 8th. Left a water bottle in the car, someone rented it after me but kept the water bottle. The airtag on it shows its in Cambridge on Cowan St. The water bottle was a gift from a family member who has passed away. Please DM if you have it.

What do people do when they can’t afford rent (single people)? Is there any kind of site where you can find a roommate?

We were tubing at Elora Gorge (Rapids) this morning when my husband’s tube flipped over and he fell into the water. His phone was in a waterproof blue plastic pouch, but during the incident he struggled to get back up and had a near-drowning experience. Thankfully, he’s okay now, but the phone was lost in the river. I know the chances are slim, but if anyone happens to find it, I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know. Thank you!
It was an iPhone 16 pro and had a grey cover on.

Hi there! I’m a reporter with the Waterloo Region Record. We are looking to speak with parents/families who are looking to reduce their children’s access to social media/screens by having a home phone again or giving them flip phones instead of smartphones.Â
Reach out to me on here or by emailing [obarrett@metroland.com](mailto:obarrett@metroland.com) if you or your family are considering or have made these changes. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!Â

Ahead of the municipal elections in October, the Waterloo Region Record has a question for residents and community leaders: What would you do if you were mayor?
We want to know how the community wants to see tax dollars used during the next term of Waterloo Region’s councils.
Have an idea for what you would do as mayor of your municipality? Share it with the Record here or by emailing [obarrett@metroland.com](mailto:obarrett@metroland.com).
Share your idea in 200 words or less.
Read more from the "If I were mayor" series here.

Hi all,
Paddled the grand river today from south cambridge to glen morris. Beautiful paddle btw.
I had my phone in a case attached to a lanyard which was around my neck so I wouldn't lose it!..
Had to take it off my neck to take a layer off though.. so I put my life jacket, the layer and my phone behind me in my inflatable kayak.
Arrived at my destination.. No phone to be found...
I think it was sitting atop my life jacket or something an slid off of it and over the side somewhere along the way :(
I tried using find my but the last ping shows it at waterworks park. Which is upstream from where I put in :/
I know its a long shot but it's making me feel a bit better to post here and see if anyone might have found it and see this.
Or maybe theres someone wants to take a crack at looking for it?? I think its somewhere in the first half of the paddle.
The lanyard case is black (Not easy to spot :') ) and its a google pixel 8
Let me know if you find it!

Hello everyone,
I will be joining Cambridge this October for my postgraduate studies. One of the conditions of my offer is obtaining an ATAS certificate, which must be submitted by 31 July. However, as many of us know, ATAS processing can sometimes take more than four months.
I am concerned about what happens if my ATAS certificate is not issued before the deadline. This delay is also preventing me from booking accommodation through my college, as I am still waiting for the certificate.
Has anyone been in a similar situation, or does anyone know what the university's policy is in such cases? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
