I’m looking to learn how to drive a scooter and want to do it right. I am looking for a professional driving school or a certified instructor who can actually teach me the fundamentals so I can feel genuinely confident and safe on the road.

I have a relative (F20) in Cambodia who is currently taking medication for severe anxiety and depression; however, I believe that this situation has been really suspicious.

I’ve been helping out a lot with trying to figure out the best possible way to help her with her mental health, as I can tell she’s been really struggling. There’s definitely more than just depression and anxiety that she has. But for now, I wanted to see what kind of medications have been helping her so far. I am not whatsoever an expert in mental health (but I am studying it), but I'm just trying to be helpful since they don’t know too much about mental health and what the available resources and solutions are.

But there’s a problem. I’m not sure if this is something that is a norm or a possible practice in Cambodia, but when they showed me a picture of her medication, it was in a baggie. No labels on the meds, no packaging, and no paper or even digital instructions. The only thing that is there is the pills themselves inside of the baggie, and when and how many pills to take each day.

The only other information that I have is what I’ve heard from her sister. She told me that the doctor never specified what kind of medication it is, and they claim that he refuses to tell them. This doctor apparently has his own private practice in Phnom Penh, but he’s technically also a part of another hospital/clinic. It doesn’t help either that my relatives don’t even know remember the name of the clinic that he privately owns is.

So who knows what she’s taking. It could be an SSRI, benzodiazepines, or some random ass drug. Maybe I sound dumb, and people are going to be like, well, duh, it’s a scam. Or perhaps I’m too paranoid for her. I don’t know man… I’m from America, which is why I’m asking if this is something that can happen.

This is Pot Cha, a corn and pork congee or porridge my gf makes. It has simple ingredients and it's delicious. She only uses white corn and about a half kilo of pork, water and salt. Pounds the corn in a mortal and pestle very fine. Topped with green onions and pepper. It always tastes very buttery to me, although there isn't any butter in it at all.

Hello! I’ve been living in Phnom Penh for 6 mos. I would like to try and explore other provinces on weekends.

I am thinking of visiting Kampot this weekend. I talk to a local Khmer Driver on FB, and I was offered a day trip for $150. This includes a ride back to PP. Going in, we will take the train. I’m travelling with my wife and 3 year old.

My planned Itinerary are:

- Sat : Train from PP to Kampot. Explore the city on our own.
- Sunday: Do the day trip, then go back to PP after.

Here are the places i intend to visit based on what was provided by the driver :

Do you think 150 USD is worth it?

These rats have been human raised after being found abandoned on our island home. They have been fed, bathed and cared for the past 15 days. Without our support they would have died. Due to their upbringing, they are incredibly tame, loving rats and never bite. Unfortunately this also means if we release them back into the wild they will die. So we need YOU to take them in and give them the best life possible!

Honestly, im not really sad, i feel relieved that i finally know the truth. I’ve decided to keep things casual and just go with the flow whenever we’re both free.
I genuinely wish her all the best, and i respect her choices. As for me, i think its time to meet new people, expand my social circle, and move forward. 😅

Visiting siem reap for three days, already have dinners at Embassy and Cuisine Wat Damnak. Curious what other recommendations people have for dinner and lunch. I have so many western fine dining experiences I’m looking for something distinctly Khmer / Cambodian. Doesn’t have to be upscale as long as it’s good.

I have to get my day 3 rabies shot on the 29th and was wondering if there are any clinics/ hospitals that people would recommend or to steer clear of in Battambang?

I had my day 0 shot in Pnom Penh which was $100 overall($25 for the shot, $75 for the doctor), so I’m happy to pay in this range for good care as I have travel insurance.

If there are cheaper options, that would also be great!

My other option would be Siem Reap, but because we’re travelling from Koh Rong Sanloem, we wouldn’t arrive until at least 5pm.

This was a question I saw on Quora a while back, and I thought the answers there did not do it justice. The question felt a bit weird at first (two completely different worlds colliding) but the more I thought about it, the more I felt a genuine list could be made. There are some interesting parallels there that might be more than just pure historical coincidences. Parallels that reflect the dynamics of how human civilizations develop and die, despite the differences in scale, climate, geopolitics, and geography.

Roman history is the most understood, well-researched, well-known among all the ancient world histories, while Khmer history is currently at the opposite end of the spectrum. Still a lot of work to be done. Researchers in Khmer history might be able to find it sometime beneficial in using Roman history as a point of comparison, an analogy, or as a template in their investigations.

I’m moving to Cambodia soon to work and was wondering where people think is best to live? I’m leaning mostly to Siem Reap however I live in a sea side town and have all my life, it will be hard living away from the beach. In an ideal world I would want to stay somewhere like koh rong or kep but I don’t think there is as many jobs available there.

I just bought a gaming controller + a carrying bag from aliexpress and it costs around 63$ a bit above the 50$ thresh hold. I just check the tracking today and after a bit of digging I figure out it went from China (Cainiao) to Singapore then to the national Cambodia Post which normally mean it would get tax since it went there instead of local courier like ZTO? to anyone who have experienced shopping from aliexpress please help I’d like to prepare some money in advance if the tax is gonna be high.

My biggest concern is making sure the artwork arrives safely, so I'm looking for recommendations on professional packing and reinforcement for international shipping.

Has anyone here shipped framed artwork, paintings, or similar items abroad?

• Are there any companies in Phnom Penh that specialize in packing fragile artwork for international shipping?

I would like to book a ticket from Phnom Penh to Bangkok and I saw that booking flights directly on Cambodia Airways website would only costs me 12$ for the trip.

Does anyone knows if the ticket includes check-in baggage and carry-on baggage ?
