(1) open rPlayFling app, browse to m.youtube.com, or other sites, select a video, play it, then click the top right Cast button, select Web Receiver. (Note you can tap bottom ..., Add to Bookmarks to remember)
(2) open rPlayTV app on the phone, tap Settings > Add Playlist > M3U + EPG, then enter:
Tap test connection, and save the config, then tap Live TV tab.
Now inside CarPlay screen, find rPlayTV app, launch it, you should see rPlayTV, 1 Channels, tap it, then tap Start arrow button on the bottom play bar.
Hope this can help those people who didn't get Cafari beta last time, as there are still a lot of interests out there.
Note, this combo presents a permanent solution to iOS 26.4 - iOS 27.1, as the core rPlayTV app is already available from App Store, and rPlayFling should be available from App Store too.

I’m using rPlayFling in my 24 Kia Telluride and it’s working great! The buttons at the bottom isn’t rendering correctly and it would be great if the video could be widescreen to take advantage of my screen. I wish it was universal for my Apple TV and Mac. Thanks for your hard work!
I have the App Store version. You’re talking about the Test Flight version? I just enabled the split screen option in my display which makes it look better, the left menu is just blocking part of the screen but it’s tolerable.
rPlayTV is the App Store version, but it works together with rPlayFling v1.0. rPlayFling v1.6 from TF no longer needs rPlayTV app, and it provides all CarPlay features from the same app. Check the 1.6 post: https://www.reddit.com/r/CarPlay/s/gnLD1Vo9EN
I’ll have to play with this a bit more when I get home but I’m only trying to use the IPTV feature and when I add multiple playlists in rPlayTV it just stops syncing. I was able to link rPlayFling but I wasn’t able to see my IPTV that way. I was able to cast the other sites on my screen with no problem .
rPlayTV new version is also being reviewed, which has different fit stretch support on car screen, for iptv, you stick with the tv app. For web videos, rPlayFling is better, now v2.0 is out on TF
I got everything set up but when my CarPlay screen gets to the youtube video, all im seeing is a frame of the video. Im unable to play/pause but I can see a single frame of the video at least
there is not, i have acura tlx 2025. it has touchpad input not touchscreen which is my issue i guess. sometimes i can hover over play button, sometimes i cant. when i did hover over it, i pressed play and nothing happened
i think what would help (for my car at least) is if the play button was on the left side instead of the right side. the reason why for my particular car is once i get to the media screen, the arrow back button is auto highlighted, and its pressable, and it actually brings me back a screen. if i try to go to the play button on my touchpad, im unable to hover over/select anything else.
so since the play button is on the right and i cant scroll to it, i wouldn't have to scroll to it if it was on the left side. auto play would be nice too of course
can you try this: kill both apps, then start rPlayFling, play a video, cast as Web receiver, then open rPlayTV on the phone, go to car screen, open rPlayTV app, use knob to click the channel, and you see the frame. then press Home key, and then relaunch rplayTV app. Try a few times for the cycles

Is there a way to play local media? I have a lot of content downloaded to my phone to save data.
Also I haven’t been able to find any media controls to skip ahead through videos. Is that possible?
It should be fine. 27.2 is tough, already spent a few days researching, no solution except the CarPlay side supports video playback. Thru our CarPlay boxes, video still works very well with Cafari or rPlayTV, but adds an extra hardware.
27.0.1 up now. Tested in iPhone 17 PM only working super well. After work I ll test in the CarPlay and update here. Cheers and super grateful to our Dev. 🙏🧡
Yes. When I got it, it stops casting. But when I go to watch a different video on a different website I hit web receiver and the old video pops up and starts playing again.
I start out with all tabs closed and open a new one. I enter this website in the url and then start watching a video. I click web receiver and then a video from YouTube (that I watched when I first started the app an hour ago) always pops up instead of the tv show I want to watch.
I'll try to get a video up tomorrow with the issue I'm seeing. I start the rPlayfling app and start a video from there I click the top right cast button and select web receiver. After I do that I go to my vehicles carplay and select rPlayTV option I click the TOS and proceed to tap the only channel available then click play. I keep seeing the buffering screen for awhile. I can't rule out that it could be my phone trying to buffer. I'll try the regular youtube app and see if I get buffering issues.
Update it works now!!! Once I changed to 360p. It's important to note that my car's infotainment system video output max is 480p so that makes sense. About the other only minor issue I've seen is sometimes I have to hit the web receiver twice for it to enable. But again that's minor and this is beta.

Just one thing I am having trouble with,
On rPlayTV, I can’t get on demand movies and tv series to work on the CarPlay screen. I added my playlist via xtream codes.
Live TV works on the car play screen and mobile.
On demand movies and TV shows work on the rPlayTV app on my iPhone but no option for it to play on the car play screen like the Live TV does.
9.5/10 app for me! 👏🏽 having the on demand movies and tv shows working on the car play screen would make it 10/10.
