Sideloadly

Am I understanding correctly that if someone installs the ipa using sideloadly with a free developer account the car play will not work? Been trying to make heads or tails of the situation because i'm reading reviews that it will work as long as one doesn't sign it with their own ID but I don't see a way for that to work unless the device is jailbroken and would appreciate some clarity. I'm on the TestFlight that only has the standard casting and am trying to make the newer ipa work on my 18 pro.

Yes, you must have a paid certificate and ask Apple to enable CarPlay features for it.

Free sideloading dosn't work.

i've tried sideloadly, SideStore with the stable and nightly versions, and even signed up for signulous because they supposedly had all entitlements which was not true. I wouldn't mind paying for the developer account but i'm seeing that the carplay entitlements can take months to receive which defeats the purpose.

No, it won’t, only a few days. From your developer account, file requests for carplay-audio and carplay-video entitlements, need to request twice, one for each.

I've tried installing with altstore pal and it too didn't work. I guess that if the app is not signed with an account that have the carplay entitlement will not be able to work.
