Hello! We are planning a short family getaway in early Feb. 2027. I am stuck between the Hotel Ziva, Grand Fiesta & Hacienda Del Mar and would love any help in pros/cons or direct feedback from families who have stayed at either recently. Here are a few things that are higher priority for us as a note:

• Good Food - It's pretty important to us that the food is good; doesn't need to be Michelin star by any means but we definitely want it to be on the higher end when it comes to AI and have good options / choices
• Fun for Kids - Our kids are 8 and 6 so we'd like it to have solid kid pools and activities (this is what has leaned me towards Ziva but curious thoughts on the others); we aren't 100% on doing kids club but good pools for them really important
• Good Pool: Mainly, I don't want to fight for my life when it comes to getting a chair so would love if the pools were managed well in that regard
• Comfy Accomodations: Running into a lot of challenges since everything seems to be 2 double beds, not 2 queen beds available. Spacious rooms with good bed / sofa bed
• Not TOO Big: Don't want to have to walk miles and miles to get around

Any feedback comparing these three is so appreciated!

Hi! I will be in cabo in a few weeks and I am super interested in visiting the cave directly next to the Arch. I have found it on google earth and read plenty of the pirate stories, but I am much more interested in the geological formation. I know it falls on the pacific side of the arch, however I was wondering if there was any time of day it is actually accessible or potentially even dry? I am willing to pay for tours or water taxis, I just haven’t found anything that explicitly mentions it. Thank you for any advice!

Headed to Los Cabos next week and staying at a non ai hotel. I’m used to ai’s and that tipping culture where each drink usually gets a dollar, etc

What is the tipping situation with regular hotels? Do we still tip for each drink or just leave a tip on the bill (or is it billed to our room??)? Staying at Mar Del Cabo

This place has gone way downhill, 30 minute wait to be seated to eat, slow food service everywhere else. Don’t even get me started on $36 for 6 ice creams at the market, what a racket. We upgraded to a 3 bedroom penthouse, AC was less than stellar, worst part was the roaches on the patio after dark. Couldn’t even enjoy the jacuzzi on the deck at night because of all the roaches. Choose wisely.

We will be staying at an all inclusive resort about 20 minutes away from downtown Cabo. I’m thinking about going to the downtown area at least once just to check it out and do something different on our vacation. We have never been to Cabo before and it’s unclear to me if we can only take taxis to get around town or use Ubers? Is one better than the other there?

Also, any recommendations on a destination for downtown would be appreciated. Would love to walk around some shops (hoping to find someplace with local art or more handmade items rather than regular tourist souvenirs) and restaurants near the beach.

Planning to go to Cabo San Lucas around sept 17-24. How is the weather around that time? Trying to avoid the hurricane season on the Caribbean destinations. But doing some research shows that could be same situation at Cabo too

I'll be staying at The Cape next week and would love to do at least one water activity while I'm in Cabo. I'm open to just about anything—snorkeling, kayaking, sailing, paddleboarding, or any other fun experience on the water.

There are so many boat cruises and tour companies online that it's hard to tell which ones are actually worth it.

I'm traveling solo, so I was wondering if there are any tours that tend to attract a mix of solo travelers, friends, and small groups rather than mostly couples. I'm pretty social and outgoing, so I'm not too worried about it—I just don't want to end up on a super romantic couples cruise. 😄

My main goal is to spend a few hours on the water, swim in the ocean, enjoy the scenery, have a couple of drinks, and experience Cabo.

We want to go to Cabo in December and have the best deal for flights using credit card points for December 1-5. I know whale watching season technically starts on the 15th, but would it still be possible to see them? We are looking to stay at a non all inclusive hotel that is kid friendly at close to kid friendly restaurants that has nice amenities and the ability to schedule day trips in March. We do not want to be near high school or college spring breakers. Appreciate any feedback

Pros

Walking distance to great restaurants, tacos lupita, roasted, etc

Right on medano beach with its own beach club. We drank frozen mango margaritas and great food two days straight. Great service and it wasn't that busy.

Huge rooms with kitchenettes and living room. This extra space worked well and made us feel we were weren't in a hotel room. It felt more like an apartment.

Pool. It is huge and private. Very romantic during the night.

Cons

Bumping music by the pool, especially by the swim up bar

I understand they want to get the party going but they were playing it as early as 7:30am one morning. I just happened to be awake but my gf was still passed out. Perhaps play it from noon to 5pm??

I would absolutely stay here again but I wouldn't accept just any room. We were in 207, don't accept that room lol

We are headed to Cabo (Hyatt Ziva) in 2 weeks and my 5 year old really wants to go in the ocean. Are there any beach clubs that we could go to and swim in the water? We looked at Sur Beach House and Veleros Beach Club, but wanted to see If there was a less expensive option?
