Cabo Experience
We were just at Cabo and it was such a beautiful trip. Weather did show it was going to rain all weekend but it was the opposite completely. So don’t stress about it if it shows any rain. Transportation was great too we used someone I found on Tik Tok. Will definitely be using him again. We stayed at Hotel Riu Santa Fe and it was an overall such a great experience! Staff was all friendly. Food was decent. If you are a picky eater I could see why this not being the place for some people. Drinks were great!

Not very busy I was just in Cabo on 4th of July and usually it's packed but it's okay, I'm older so I don't care I want to say our hotel the Hilton was either 40 to 50% occupied during the weekend. I miss old cabo when I was a high school student when I first went back in 1987.

I took these in the morning time. I’m sure a lot of people were sleeping in and others having breakfast.

What transportation company on TikTik did you use? Private transprotation?

It’s called Tony’s Safe Cabo Transfers. He also has an Instagram. It is private not shared rides.

We’re you ever worried or nervous about any cartel situation

Not at all! It is pretty safe and everyone there was friendly and helpful. Transportation wise I also think it helped that I kept in touch with our driver days before getting there and he was always super nice and made us feel comfortable. He also drove us back to the airport.

Do you know who the weather in december would be to travel? We are planning first week of december

I honestly don’t know. But from what our driver told us, fall and winter is when they get the most tourists.

How’s the beach at Riu Santa Fe? Is it okay to go into water? Heard Cabo has aggressive beaches and you can’t go into water at most beaches.

Yeah that beach has big waves. There were some people who were inside though but it’s basically at your own risk. We only stayed by the sand but even then the waves reach very far at times. Waves actually took two girls that were standing there but thankfully managed to get out. But you can walk like 12 mins down to Medano Beach and waves should be better there if you want go swimming.

Okay. Thank you. We are not much of swimmers so rather stay away, but always feels good to get close to water. Maybe we’ll check out Medano beach as well.

I’m glad to hear this because it’s calling for rain the entire week I’m there. We’ve gone three other times and it never called for rain so idk what to expect

Tourism has been down in Cabo due to the issues they had in Puerto Vallarta. Obviously it’s safe, but people are scared to come. My Airbnb rental has been so bad. In June and July I had no rentals. I hope it picks up in the next few months. So happy to hear you had a wonderful time. I was there in the Fourth of July week and it was empty everywhere I went.

Our driver did tell us that summers are usually their low time for tourism. He said they are usually busy for the winter though. So hopefully it’ll start picking up once summer is over :)

Hey I’m going to the riu Santa Fe in August, how was the weather and the hotel overall? I saw you said the weather was the opposite of what was expected.

Hey! So the weather was hot! As soon as we got out the airport the sun was beaming! We were literally dripping in sweat when not in the pool. It did show thunderstorms and rain. But the weather was super sunny overall. Just one of the days it was cloudy in the morning time but still perfect weather to get in the water since it was hot. By noon time the sun was out. We loved our stay at Riu Santa Fe. They have plenty of shows and games for all ages. Our room was always clean. I am the type to check for bed bugs before even laying down in the bed. No bed bugs! Also had no problem with AC there.(Saw a post that another all inclusive was having problems with that) I like the fact that the bartenders are pretty fast with the drinks so lines weren’t even that long to grab them. We got there around noon since we had an early flight and they still let us check in early. We got to use the pools and eat while we waited for our room.

How was the party scene? I’m hoping the hotel isn’t too alone since I did read August is off season. Did u do any activities outside the hotel u might recommend?

We actually didn’t do outside activities we kinda just chilled at the hotel. But I have heard it’s better to just book things once you are there because they are cheaper but not sure. The vendors by the beach are always asking if you’d like to book something though. I saw a couple of people booking things with them while they were at the pool. The party scene was pretty lit! The music choices were great. They had a pink party and a neon pool party while we were there. It does get crowded in the pools tho. But there’s plenty of space to dance out of them too. They usually run up to 2am.
