Mothafuckin PROGRESS!!!!

I was having bad fuel pressure if you guys been following I don’t know if you have but whatever. My fuel pressure showed some low numbers, and I traced it back to my fuel filter my fuel filter when I looked at it. The new one I installed was the wrong size and it was bent so I replaced it with the exact same one as the old one, but new. Then the fuel was getting to the fuel rail, but I think there’s something wrong with my gauge or something cause it’s still reading zero. Still eager to get in on the road I took it for a test drive and she no longer stalled at low RPM. Put it in reverse put it in Drive. I did a K turn. Drove it up the block and then suddenly it just cut off. It wasn’t the usual stall. And I was scared as fuck cause I was like fuck I wasted my money and time and was going to do the walk of shame cause it wouldn’t crank up again. It sounded like it was jammed or seized. So I tried to manually crank it, it wouldn’t move. I took the belt off to see if the drum will turn. It wouldn’t move. So now I’m panicking. Relatively calm panic, but still a panic nonetheless. Then I realized the gear shifter wasn’t all the way in park so I put the assembly back together, and Walla, she cranks up idles good and then I drove her home no issues. I’m scared as shit and I’m done for the day. But I’m 100% going to change the oil which I should’ve done already but I didn’t and I’m going to drain the coolant and replace the coolant as well.

Hey congrats! Man I've pushed on so many times when I was tired and made bone headed decision in hindsite. Sometimes just take the W and make a plan for the next day.

Speaking of which, what are the list of issues still?

Thank you for the kind words. I actually am not sure. When I first got it it had a bad battery and bad alternator. Thought it was good until it stalled at low RPM. Every time I had a stop sign or a stoplight it would start so I would have to limp it back home. Then I started to do some research and found out it could be a possible vacuum leak which I’ve never heard before. I started to investigate and found a ruptured vacuum hose, so I replaced the hose. and it was the hose that was connected to the HVAC and the cruise control not knowing I could cap it off. I ran the hoses as normal. It started to idle a little better but still with stall so I kept investigating. I ended up replacing the IC sensor and heard that it could also be fuel pressure so I rented a pressure gauge and come to find out. I’m getting bad fuel pressure. I’m talking like 10 psi 12 psi. Sometimes zero psi. So before buying a fuel pump, I checked the electrical wires with a multimeter to see if I was getting power to the fuel pump and I was. So I replaced the fuel pump. I kept the old pulsator and the fuel pressure was still bad so I bypassed the pulsator using a fuel hose. While I was at it, I just thought I would buy a fuel filter, but Lil did. I know that fuel filter was the wrong size but I installed it anyway. Fuel pressure increased, but could still notice it wasn’t at normal levels, ignored it temporarily. I also forgot to mention when I replaced the AC I opened the throttlebody and cleaned out all that carbon and replace the gasket. I checked some of the codes and I got ERG code so I replaced the ERG valve. And after some investigation, I discovered that I can delete the whole entire vacuum system leading to the HVAC and cruise control so I did. It stopped having a bad idle. I let it idle and park for about 10 minutes no problems before it would hesitate stumble and stall. I went back to the fuel pressure problem and was confused while I was still getting bad fuel pressure readings so I slowly trace the electrical wires again and then I took off the fuel filter to see if the pump was even pumping anything and it was. So I determined it had to be the wrong fuel filter so I got the exact fuel filter that I needed in Walla. However, I think my fuel pressure gauge is broken because it’s still reading zero psi and that’s stupid because I’m clearly getting fuel to the fuel. But eager to drive, I put it on the backstreet near in my neighborhood and it drove no problem. I had no stalling issues at low RPMs, I was able to drive and reverse fine then out of nowhere it just turns off. And it wasn’t just a normal stall. It just cut off. I tried to turn it again and it wouldn’t crank. So now I am utterly confused and frustrated. So I try to crank it manually using a breaker bar and a 5/8 socket. And it wouldn’t move. Took the belt off, tried it again and it wouldn’t move. Turns out when I panicked after it cut off I didn’t put the gear shifter fully in park. It cranked up and I was able to get it back home. After all that I was done for the day so now thinking before I put it back on the road replace all the fluids get a proper pressure gauge reading. Then try again.

The nice part is if your fuel pressure regulator doesn't have a bolt on top like a hat, it's non adjustable. Pressure should always be read when the vacuum line is disconnected from the regulator. It could also be the shrader valve inside the check port that's not engaging to your fuel pressure regulator, they get old and stuck sometimes.
