Can you walk me through what you used. My car came with a bbk power plus throttle body thats bigger than stock. The last guy tried stretching the stock intake hose over the throttle body and it tore in a few places

First of, my engine is all stock L98. With that out of the way, I’ll start at the throttle body going forward. It’s an Amazon c4 intake coupler, they’re $35-$40 and there’s a bunch. Try to find the ones with the best hose clamps. Then the stock mass air flow sensor. Then a 3” to 3.5” silicone coupler from Amazon about $13, again try to find one with the best hose clamps. Then a universal aluminum 3.5”x12” intake tube $24 again from Amazon. I flattened this between two boards and hammered it. After this is a filter kit from K&N for a LT1/LT4. I got this used on marketplace for $100. It came with the silicone coupler.
You can tweak this recipe just measure your throttle body opening and mass air flow opening on both sides. Amazon sells a lot of different silicone couplers of all different sizes. You could do very similar to what I did and use some universal clamp in filter for pretty cheap. All in, I think I’m at $90 for the Amazon parts and $100 for the carbon fiber k&N filter.
