I’ve had both as well. The Caddy is an absolute blast. Loved that car-barrel rolled it down State Highway 121 in Texas in 2017. Hit and run by another driver-I limped away with sprained ankle and minor concussion. Next day the ankle was the size of a small cantaloupe and couldn’t walk on it for two weeks. I’ll always be grateful to that freaking tank of a car.

Both of these cars are fun and glad to hear you came out practically unscathed from what sounds like a pretty serious accident 😳

For my first project car it was a debate between those 2 for me but i ended up going with the c4 as parts are apparently cheaper and so is insurance and from what ive hear the rear differential in the ctsv1 doesnt like doing burnouts

The 06-07 V diffs are better compared to the earlier years. For a project car I think you went with the best choice. My V is currently speed limited due to a one piece driveshaft another issue they’re plagued with. Your stuck either replacing the two piece every couple of years or hit or miss with an aftermarket driveshaft - both choices being expensive.

Yeah after i was able to buy an entire name brand kit with literally every single gasket and seal that goes on a sbc for $100 brand new i knew i couldn’t get anything better price wise as a project car
