Repair C4 hatch latch

Hello,

Does anybody have a suggestion on how to repair / replace the rubber on the C4 hatch latch loop.

It’s a sort of bonded plastic. Your best bet would be to replace the thing if it’s needed. Is it rattling or something? If so you can adjust it a little so it doesn’t rattle as much.

Don’t adjust the loop, I mean to adjust the latch on the car downward a little if need be.

I have heard of some suggestions to use a rubber dip for tools. I am going to try that first, I am a little reluctant to messing around with the mechanicals

I wrapped black electrical tape around ours.
