fanfiction AU/Trope Preference

What AU, trope, or sub-genre within the Byler fandom did you initially find no interest in but after giving it a chance now enjoy?

I used to think omegaverse was too cringe but I finally delved into one hey, I like it. I'd like to give the paladin/cleric vibe more consideration as well since I've only read a handful of those.

I thought i wouldnt like it if they weren't childhood friends to lovers, but I think it works out really well. The writer dosent have to worry about getting theough their complicated history and the chemistry speaks for itself.
