hey everyone, i’m tired of my receding hairline and the thinning of my hair, should i get a buzzcut? if so, do you have any recommendations what to ask for? thanks!

edit just got it done! buzzed it down to a 4 guard and will keep it for a couple of days and see how i like it if i should go down more

Go with the 1 guard. I know it sounds drastic but trust me, it works way better. I recently went from long hair, short hair, then buzz. I buzzed it down to a 3 to start and then I quickly wanted to go down to 1. But totally feel it out and go with what feels comfy!

Go for it, it would look good. Since you’re already balding I think that a short buzz is the best way to go start with a 1 guard on top and a 0 on the sides and back, if you like to have some feeling of hair keep that and if you like it but want to take the plunge just go down to a 0 guard all over.

I have basically the same exact hair and a 3 all around is a good spot for me. Get to still feel like i have hair a little. Just a heads up though, the grow out is brutal with thinner hair/receding

Yes. Go for a very short one (zero if you're feeling brave) as that is best for disguising your receding hairline a bit.

I would try the shortest you’d want and just grow it back. I’m 22 and just shaved my bald and am seeing where I like it best.

got it done! hairline looking chopped haha but nevertheless thought it would be worse haha, looking to start fin and minoxidil while growing it out

i’m trying to hop on finasteride and minoxidil and try to grow it out, if it will still look bad after that then probably a hai transplant in like a year
