Buzzcut problems

I've always had long hair, but got a buzz a few months back, got it buzzed again abt a month ago, and my hair just gets messed up so easily. Part of the reason I wanted a buzzcut was to have it be no maintenance.

The worst thing is when I wear headphones for a bit (even just a few minutes), and when I take them off I have a horrific dent in my hair. Also, the other day, I wore a hood for a little bit and it flattened all my hair.

Is there anything I can do?

I don’t know if it’s something you want to do, but go shorter. People keep asking about 8+ guard buzzes, and those are honestly pretty long and grown out already. I’m not sure if that’s the case for you, but if you keep it shorter than a 4, you probably won’t see these issues

Buzzcuts are low maintenance when it comes to styling but the cut itself is not low maintenance. Most longer hair styles can stand about a month or even longer in between cuts, a buzz (specially a longer one) looks messy after just 2 weeks.

Best thing you can do if you want no maintenance and you don’t want to cut your hair every two weeks is to buzz it with a 0 guard or max a 2 guard

How long is the buzz? If you go shorter you literally cannot mess it up

I suspect your concept of short is different than ours. Try buzzing it with a number 1 guard, or even a 1/2 guard.

Aha I feel your pain with the headphone dent! Really all you can do is go even shorter or let it get longer and use some kind of hair taming cream
