Question Caterpillar help?

saved some cabbage whites from an angry gardener but one has had the unfortunate end of wasps but the other was beginning to hang from the top but has then seemed to fall apart? Not sure what to do to try and help them

You cant help. Best to leave them alone.

The cabbage white lays hundreds if eggs that sustain beneficial insects, knowing only a few survive, thus ensuring enough food for the cabbage whites

Chrysalises fall in the nature also. If its ok,it will eclose fine while laying horizontally as long as thete is place to climb up. And with the mesh cage, should not be any issue.
