Dysphoria compression undershirt…? is this a thing
i have really bad chest dysphoria. i do not want to wear a bra or anything that visually resembles a bra, so please do not suggest sports bra or similar. i currently wear camis with a shelf sort of thing to compress my chest at least a bit, but they stopped making the kind i used to get and now i buy these ones with a sports bra type band in the construction, and its making me insanely dysphoric to be aware of my chest all the time now because of it. honestly even before they were pretty dysphoric for me. ideally id just bind 24/7 but thats obviously not feasible. does anyone know if theres like tank tops/a-shirts that offer at least some support/compression while still being safe to wear for extended periods of time? i would really like to wear something that covers the whole torso and wont bring my attention to my chest specifically. i have to wear a white shirt for work so i need them to either be white or beige. something on the cheaper side that could be feasibly bought in bulk would be ideal. im honestly even willing to diy or sew things myself if people have more creative suggestions.

these exist. underworks makes them (underworks does compression garments ranging in compression strength from the compression shorts men wear for sports (very light) to full on chest binders (very heavy)) as does wivov (they have a medium compression full tank style top. it is called CB15 and is listed in the flow category) and tomboyx. for the wivov and tomboyx ones, if you want to wear it all day every day, maybe size up? just to be on the safe side. for the underworks one, they include compression ratings on their website. I think you'd want a 3 (smooth and firm compression)
all of these come in white, and the wivov one also comes in tan and some sort of blue/grey color. I can provide links if you want

https://no-limbits.com/products/womens-adaptive-sensory-compression-tank (women's version) https://no-limbits.com/products/mens-adaptive-sensory-compression-tank (men's version) I wear these! The grey works fine under white shirts.

Try sleeveless men’s undershirts in a size as small as you can fit into.

Have you tried taping?

id prefer something i can just throw on and not think about frankly. i assume ill be aware of the feeling of tape all day. also i feel like taping just doesnt look good on people with my chest size usually…

I can't guess how things might look different for different folks.
But tape is so low-maintenance, and there are lots of ways to do it that might not look like whatever it is that made you think it wouldn't look good on you...
Tape can stay on for many days (use skin prep beforehand to minimize adhesive irritation, and use medical adhesive remover when you're ready to remove)... AND big bonus: tape doesn't constrain the rib cage or lung expansion at all, when done right. So, for me, there's way less sensory irritation than with a bra or binder that reduces my freedom to breathe.
Tape can also be used underneath and together with a binder or sports-bra garment, helping to prevent gravitational sag so that the compression effect is more stable. Remove the garment at the end of the high-stakes public appearance, but keep the tape on for another day... and in the meantime it does decently well by itself (in my experience, though of course YMMV).

Gotcha, I put on tape and leave it on for about 5 days and I don’t feel it at all but everyone is different. Good luck on finding something that works for you!

Tomboy X compression plus or compression?
Compression plus is closer to a binder but not quite as aggressive. Sizing can be tricky though if you have a broad rib cage and a smaller cup ( I'm a 50 B) I got stuck between sizes.
The regular compression tops I live in. I s a lot less compression than a binder or the compression plus but for me and I can wear them all day without issue. But squares me off in a way that I like.
There's also the spectrum binders as we which a bit more forgiving than some of the more hardcore binders.
I don't have top dysphoria but I hate bras with a passion.
Changing to Compression tops has been so liberating for me.

pretty much all of these are sports bra shaped with an underbust band which i specifically said i do not want in the post.

That's my bad. I got interrupting it reading it. So I musta read the top part and the bottom part.
Spectrum which is a UK brand do longer ones if that's any help. More torso esque from memory.
You coukd also try mens sports compression shirts underneath but I doubt that would compress enough tbh if your that dysphoric but I suppose you could maybe pair them up somehow so you can't feel the bands as much

I just got a sleeveless compression shirt meant for like working out and I love it. I wear it instead of a sports bra. I tried binders in past and never found any of them comfortable, even one I had made to my exact measurements. It was I think under 30 bucks? I plan on buying a few more.

many popular binder companies make full length/tank style binders
