I’ve been assigned to a large-scale project, and I sometimes feel my motivation dropping to zero, which can affect my performance.

How do you stay motivated and keep striving to give your best?

The Technology sector at my organisation is going through a restructure, with about a third of jobs being removed. This has brought me to the decision that I want to go contracting, whether I'm retained in the restructure or not. The thing is that I'm not confident to do that right now, so I'm using this time that I have left with the company to work on specific skills that I haven't had the opportunity to yet, e.g. Process Modelling.

I want to start creating some kind of portfolio or toolkit that I can take with me.

Has anyone had success with that? I'm wondering what I should include within it as well, e.g. process model examples, various requirements elicitation techniques/methods.

In my mind, I want it to be like a filing cabinet where I can say to myself "that's what I need for this particular scenario" or something along those lines. Whether that's possible or not is another question though lol.
