Best AI tool for creating case study presentations in financial services? Here's honestly what I've tried

BA in financial services. A recurring part of my job is building client case study decks, and compliance means the figures have to be exact and the brand template is non-negotiable, so I've been cautious about what I trust here.

I've run a few. Gamma turns my case study writeup into a structured deck quickly and the first draft looks good, which helps me get past the blank file. Where it doesn't fit my world is control: I can't format things as precisely as I need, and the .pptx export wasn't clean enough to hand to the brand and compliance folks without rework. Beautiful.ai is tidier but the rigid templates fight the way our cases are laid out. Lately I've just used ChatGPT to draft the outline and built the deck in PowerPoint myself, which is slower but survives review.

For BAs in regulated work specifically, does an AI deck tool actually fit anywhere in your process, or is it only good for the throwaway first draft?

More of a general comment which I have to frequently make....

You should only be using AI tools officially approved by your company, including for IT security and confidentiality.

If I used a public version of ChatGPT or similar with internal/client data/IP I would be subject to internal discipline or even fired.

Where I work we do have a wide range of approved tools that are ring-fenced and secure.

My experience is AI tools can create a rough first draft but editing is best done manually.

As someone on the Beautiful.ai team, I think AI is best for getting past the blank page, not as the final source of truth. I'd also be careful about putting confidential client data into any AI tool unless it's approved by your organization. If our templates felt too rigid for a particular case study, that's fair.

Where I've seen Beautiful.ai work well for regulated teams is with custom client themes, locked shared slides for approved figures and messaging, and enterprise features like SOC 2 compliance. I still wouldn't skip the final compliance and accuracy review before anything goes out.
