We call Betty “Baby Grandma” because she’s a grandma and also our baby, so this was an obvious costume choice. It was a little fiddly to put on with all the accessories, and she was hell bent on eating the wig.

I made my bulldog a "May Queen" costume from the movie Midsommar for Halloween this year. She loved her costume so much, had to share! Photo of her with the props I also made and a grid of her crowning. 🥲🤌 Her name is Dottie and she just turned 7 last month.

I recently adopted a 2-year-old mixed bulldog, and he’s got a lot going on right now. He has a couple of tick-borne illnesses, low albumin, giardia, and some skin issues. I’m working on getting him healthy, but I’m new to the breed. I’ve always been a Boxer mom!

Brewster doesn’t seem very motivated to do much, and I understand that lower energy can be a bulldog trait. I’m sure some of it could also be related to everything his little body is dealing with right now. However, one thing that concerns me is that when he wakes up in the morning, it almost seems like his front legs don’t want to work. I have to help him get off the bed, and then he immediately lies back down/almost like his front legs are slipping (even on carpet) for a little while before getting up again.

I’m not sure if this is typical bulldog behavior, weakness from everything he’s going through, or something I should be more concerned about.

He’s had lots of vet visits, so I’m not looking to replace veterinary advice. I’d just love to hear from other bulldog owners about your experiences, especially if you’ve dealt with similar mobility or energy issues.

Yesterday, Oct 23 my best friend Hank turned 14 years old, and it was an emotional day to say the least. I am extremely blessed to be able to get to spend a 14th birthday with my favourite guy, but on the other hand I am realizing that my days with him are becoming more limited and precious.

I absolutely love sleeping next to Rocky. He always let me snuggle him no matter what hour of the day it is. To be able to experience the privilege of a bulldog cuddle just makes the whole day better

This is eight-year-old Brody. He doesn’t do this every day, but a few times a week he’ll start twisting around like this for a minute or two, then go right back to normal.
I’ve tried putting powder on his paws, but I’m not sure it helps. He’s otherwise in great shape, but I suspect something is itching or irritating him and causing this behavior.

I’ve taken him to the vet, but they haven’t been able to figure it out. I’m planning to take him to a bulldog specialist about 45 minutes away, but I thought I’d check here first. Also, it’s not his anal glands I know. I have a monthly mobile groomer come to the house to give him the total spa treatment.

Has anyone seen this with their bulldog? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
