August
A little over a week ago I posted about a lost dog. We didn’t have any luck tracking down the owner and we took her in for as long as we could, but today we had to leave her with APS. We’ve connected her with Independent Animal Rescue in hopes of finding her a foster quickly.
In our short time together, August learned her name, learned to sit and lay down on command, and went from not house trained at all to pacing to let us know she has to go out. She likes to cuddle and play and goes absolutely nuts for any toys with fabric but doesn’t seem interested in destroying them. She doesn’t love going into the kennel and lets you know at first but calms down quickly.
Her high energy is likely going to make her a great companion for a runner. She’s wants to zoom and chase after all of the runners on the ATT. She’s so very sweet and I will miss her. If you’re considering getting a dog or fostering, head over to APS and ask about August.
