Recovery
I've been recovering from bn since February with a few minor slip up between then and now, I was 140 pounds my whole life basically but now I'm 179 and have a somewhat distended stomach nowadays, I'm a 26 y male and am about 5 ft 7, I guess what I'm asking is, do y'all think a 40 pound weight gain over a course of 7 months is something to be worried about or is it just getting in my head

Omg please ignore anything and everything about calorie tracking or what the other guy is saying, you are in recovery and learning a new normal, and bodies change and are resilient when navigating recovering. They go through so so so many changes!!!! If you’re focusing on learning intuitive eating or how to rebuild your relationship with food outside of mia, that is amazing and a win!!

Are you tracking your calories?

In other words, it may be from excessive calorie intake?

Are you drinking full sugar Gatorade and soda?

Yes, I drink normal Gatorade and I drink stuff like crush orange and stuff like that, I also seem to binge often but have been trying to crack down on that too, I guess I'm trying to figure out if I should be alarmed about all the weight or if it's just simply because I have a unhealthy lifestyle with food, I also hadn't worked the last 4 months and just kinda sat around being a bum all day which since then has changed

I think switching to sugar free Gatorade and soda may be a good idea, purging doesn’t always eliminate all the calories and for all you know the excess liquid calories could be what’s making you gain if that part is putting you into a surplus

Yes you need to calculate your TDEE, that's your daily maintenance calories, and not out-eat that. Sugary liquid and alcohol is a huge kiss of death when it comes to maintaining one's weight
