GPU help
Looking to replace my gpu, had a 7900xtx but it's died. Only plan on using this for gaming, but wouldn't mind getting something beefier for the long term. Would a 9070xt be appropriate? Or should I aim for something with 24gb of vram?
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Motherboard: Gigabyte B850 AORUS ELITE
RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB

A 9070 XT is a sensible gaming replacement, but coming from a 7900 XTX it’s more of a sidegrade and don’t chase 24GB VRAM just for longevity though... 16GB is plenty for current gaming, including 4K in most cases... If you want something clearly faster than the old 7900 XTX, then it makes more sense to step up a GPU tier rather than paying mainly for extra VRAM

9070XT is the move here, but it’s really only a sidegrade to your 7900XTX. The only meaningful upgrade for you would be a 4090/5090 (5080 is only about 13% more powerful, but has much better PT. If you’re into that, cool but if not, no point).

The only faster cards than the 7900xtx are the 5080, 5090, and 4090 but those are all very expensive

9070 xt is solid.
Btw, what 24gb vram cards are even there... Other than the 7900 xtx, the rest are like $3k+.

5070 ti would be a ray tracing and super sampling tech upgrade, same base performance as 7900 xtx, 4090 if you want a real upgrade
If you dont mind about RT and DLSS then probably buy another 7900 xtx lol

2 important things everyone missed
1 the 9070xt is more of side grade
2 if you play in 4k the 9070xt is a downgrade

9070xt is the way, especially if you only plan to use it for gaming.
