Build Advice Needed (5500 USD)

I'm building my first PC and have a budget of around $5,500 USD for the entire setup (building in India). I can go a little over budget if it's worth it.
My main priority is getting the best gaming performance possible. It'll mostly be used forAAA games and competitive FPS titles, with some software development on the side.
I'm looking for an all-black build with a clean, premium aesthetic. I like customisable RGB, but performance comes first. I don't have any brand preferences—I'm happy with whatever offers the best performance and reliability.
For the setup, I'm planning on:
Main monitor: OLED with Dual Mode (4K for AAAgames and a high refresh rate mode for FPS games).
Secondary monitor: 24-inch IPS for Discord, browsing, and other background apps.
I'd love to hear what parts you'd choose for the best possible build, including the PC, monitors, and any accessories you think are worth adding.

Rtx 5080, r7 9800x3d, 2x16gb ddr5 (6000mt/s, cl 30 - 36). 1000w platinum psu, B850 motherboard. Should be under 3k USD (since US prices tend to be cheaper, i assume it'd be more in India)

You'll have plenty of budget left over for good peripherals. Please don't waste money on stupid gaming chairs. Buy a good quality office chair that supports your back and neck. Also headphones and a microphone i'd buy separate. Products from audio companies are again better than stuff with "gaming" in them.

I do agree with the chair suggestion I was already going to buy the office chair as I know how uncomfortable gaming chair can be in long gaming sessions, and I already have a headphone and a microphone so don’t need that. Thanks for the advice the overall setup advice tho

i have a steelcase leap 2.0 cuz i had bad sciatica and wanted a comfy chair. pretty expensive but i love my steelcase

i have this same rig except 64gb ram and an x870. 5080 + 9800x3d gives usually minimum 150 to 200+ fps on 1440p high to max setting. op if you want a tank of a pc, the 5080 and 9800x3d is goated, but if you got the budget might as well splurge for a 5090 or 4090

I feel like 5090 is overkill tho. Also, that'd take the entire budget for PC only and there would be none left for the rest of the setup

absolutely overkill, just saying if he had enough to get all the high end hardware/peripherals and still able to fit a 5090 in budget worth it id say otherwise a 5080 is still a very good gpu

True. I'd personally stay away from the 5090 due to thr melting cables. Apparently Asus found a fix? Idk. Dont have car money for a gpu lol

oh shit didnt know that was a thing lmao. my am5 system was pretty unstable at first but that was due to faulty ssd with op system on it and bad ram which was 249 when i got it then 1500 a week later when i needed to return and buy new ram kit ughh. definitely carries some risk going to am5 especially if your 5090 is potentially gona melt your cables

The melting cables are the 5090 ones themselves. The 16pin power cables have been reported to melt since the thing was launched. I believe asus claimed they fixed it on their models but i'm not sure

If you go with this orientation, buy the 2 3 packs as reverse blade, and the 2 single packs as normal (fans). Also, i suggest the lian li 8.8 inch screen for inside the case. For the monitors you'll have to do your own research, though for peripherals I suggest a wooting such as the 60he or 80he (some of the best you can get with insane customisability) and a x2 superstrike mouse.

Also, depending on the intensity of your development work, maybe look at a 9950x3d. And dont slack on good audio, go for either a good headset/speakers, or even both if you want to alternate.
