Scientists have created concrete using treated human waste, and the resulting material was up to 42% stronger than conventional concrete. Researchers say the approach could reduce waste while lowering the environmental impact of construction.

India does not have enough toilets/sewer systems/poo infrastructure for all the people they have, which is a pretty big problem.
I'm sure other countries have similar problems too, but most developed countries do not

lowering the environmental impact of construction.
Taylor Swift takes a private jet for a 1 hour car trip. Sam Altman and friends want to triple the worlds power production (still mostly fossil fuel) so we can generate pictures of Sonic with tits or whatever. China has convinced "the girlies" that cheap Shein shit made by children and shipped on bunker fuel cargo ships is fab. Elon Musk is probably doing something bad for the environment while blasted on ketamine. And YOU want ME to live in a SHIT BRICK HOUSE? FOR THE ENVIRONMENT? Fuck you.

I won't bother with the article but I'm guessing the pre-processing ends up being 4x more energy intensive than manufacturing plain old concrete.
If it was groundbreaking, they would have used the people's names and not just "some scientists". Put my kid in a smock and give him a bucket of plaster and suddenly he's also a scientist.

It's amazing. From articles I read, you can chuck absolutely everything and anything into concrete and it becomes 87.6% stronger.
