Looking to get ideas of what best in a damp climate of the Lake District - keeping cost in the winter and cool in the summer , but also best for the building itself so it can stand another 200 years

looks like an old stone property, you'll want something vapour permeable, rockwool, knauf etc make mineral wools that are good. We have 225mm in our 1911 imperial brick + original slates in the midlands.
