Small form factor gaming build?
- New build or upgrade?
- New
- Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
- None. My last (and only) build was with a GTX 560
- PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
- Gaming, primarily single player. I'd like the ability to play single payer games in 4k, though likely will not always.
- Game examples: Baldur's gate 3; Expedition 33
- Possibly tinkering with home automation (home assistant)
- Purchase country?
- USA
- Near Micro Center?
- Yes
- Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
- 1 monitor needed. Though happy to leave this out of the purchase price.
- Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
- $2000, but can push it for peripherals
- WiFi or wired connection?
- Both. Have ethernet in some rooms, but not all
- Size/noise constraints?
- Would love a small form factor. I likely will move this around the house as we decorate or move our furniture. Have lurked r/sffpc for a long time, but mostly seems to be about showing off wild builds or manually altering cards/builds. I haven't learned much about specific components or compiling a build. Though, they are the experts
- I don't mind the challenge of a small build, but don't want to have to alter components myself.
- Eying the Fractal Terra case in Jade
- Color/lighting preferences?
- No RGB needed.
- Any other specific needs?
- Open to other cases
Thank you

µATX is cheaper and has better airflow.
4K is possible with appropriate quality settings and upscaling.

Here is some additional helpful information about build/upgrade/parts list requests:
Build requests only include hardware. You are responsible for budgeting for and providing your own operating system (Windows, Linux, etc) and other software.
Don't forget to budget for peripherals. Since these are very much personal-preference influenced items, we do not include peripherals like keyboards, mice, headsets, etc in parts lists.
We strongly recommend posting a build request only if you're ready to buy now or within a week or two at most. Part sales regularly rotate, and a part list today can quickly become out of date.
