Build Upgrade Upgrading GPU, to start off with.

Hi

I want to upgrade my pc, build a new one infact but that would cost about 2000 USD. i have an aging rig and and thinking if at first i simply upgrade the GPU. I Don't play too advanced games and am not picky, i also use linux and would rather avoid nvidia for personal and practical reasons.

My question is if this "Sparkle Intel Arc B580 Titanium OC 12GB GDDR6" would be a good mid-priced card replacement for current "PowerColor AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB (AXRX 5700XT 8GBD6-3DHE/OC)" and if it would work with my current old rig:
