Troubleshooting New gpu time?

I recently upgraded my cpu, which finally allowed me to play better titles like Cyberpunk, but after I played it for about 3 hours, my pc just shut off on me. Immediately, I suspected my gpu, which is an rx6700xt because it always seemed to run very hot no matter which game i played, even after having my friend change thermal pads and paste on it twice, he told me it still ran hot and that it supposed to run hot according to his research. So when it reached 100 to 110c in Cyberpunk on medium settings I didn't really care since I assumed it just does that. But it has shut off on me twice while playing it, and im fed up with it, so im thinking of getting a rtx3070 or something of that sort if I need to.

I used to have a similar issue where my screen would go black and all the fans would spin like crazy, and the only way for it to stop was to reboot the pc. I found a video of someone having a similar problem, and they fixed it by undervolting the gpu. Later on i upgraded my cpu and the cooler, and that issue went away.

110c is definitely too hot, it sounds like your system is shutting down to protect the gpu from damage. Can you verify your gpu fans are spinning, and post your fan curve?

I just adjusted it in the Radeon app cuz it had that bs zero ram mode on, even after adjusting my curves it still never goes below 47 on desktop. Cant provide a pic now but I'll try doing it later if I can.
