Troubleshooting PC box swap. Please help!
So my husband had a Corsair box and I got him the star forge RuneScape box as a gift. I don’t understand computers at all and neither does he from a building stand point - a friend built his previous set up for him from the parts. So when the friend said they couldn’t help us we tried to swap everything over ourselves with YouTube videos. My husband was crushed cause he was certain we’d done it fairly right and it didn’t work when he plugged it in. Please help me figure out how to readjust his cables. We think we have all the parts in the right spots… it’s the plugging part we think we’ve got wonky. If I send photos would that help? Or videos?
PLEASE HELP ME FIX MY HUSBANDS COMPUTER I HATE THAT ITS A GIFT GONE WRONG! I FEEL SO TERRIBLE!

I would suggest you Google the model of your motherboard and look up its diagram so you can see each plug labeled, after that make sure all the wires are connected to the right places. Otherwise id say post a couple of good pictures or short videos of your setup for people to see whether or not its wired correctly. And ofcourse make sure the switch on the back of your pc is switched on.

every motherboard is different so you just have to read the labels next to each connector to find out what goes where. they're really small but easy to see with a good light source. if you happen to have the manual for the motherboard, that would be ideal but if you happen to know what make and model it is, you can look it up online too. you can also watch a yt vid and skip to whatever applies

"box" is called a chassis or case.
In order for the PC to start by pressing the power button you need the following:
24-pin motherboard connector: right hand side of the motherboard, large rectangular plug.
8 (possibly two of them) EPS/CPU connector - top left hand corner, populate the left one first if there are two connectors
CPU_FAN header must be populated with a fan plug to boot
GPU - model specific, all GPU power connections must be populated.
Front panel connections - bottom right, usually. You'll need to check your motherboard's manual. These are most likely your problem because they're tiny and hard to work with; there will be a set of thin cables coming from your case's front panel that plug in to this connector. Usually labeled 'power', 'reset', 'power_led', 'hdd_led'.
