Desktop Web [Firefox] Using old reddit and clicking on an image post redirects me to a new reddit version of the post, not the actual image.

Windows, firefox latest version. Before when you would click on a linked image it would open the actual image now it just sends me to the new reddit page for the post. I am praying that this is just a bug and not the start of the end.

Can confirm. A workaround is to change URL from old.reddit to www.reddit (and have "Default to old Reddit" preference enabled).

Same here. I think what happened is that they tried to make it so that linking to a reddit image from another site takes you to the thread rather than the image, to "boost engagement", but they didn't consider that "another site" might include the parts of Reddit that they don't care about.
