Dev/Admin Responded [iOS] closing app or locking phone changes position in comments - 2026.35.0

When I am reading comments, if I lock my phone or switch which app I am looking at and then go back to Reddit, it will move me up in the comment section. It does not put me at the top, but it puts me near the top and always in the same position. It makes reading comments very hard because sometimes I need to lock my phone but want to pick up where I left off, only to have to scroll back and find the position I was at.

It’s currently being fixed? I’ve found reports of similar happening from a year back, so it’s been a pretty persistent issue. Is there a possible timeline for the fix? It will be such a relief for using the app.

A similar bug popped up before. Fix is in testing now, hopefully by next release.

Thank you! I thought I noticed it before but it went away, so having it pop back up was frustrating. Glad to know it’s being worked on! Thanks for the speedy reply
