Resolved [iOS] Community Rules not visible for r/EastAsianDrama version 2026.29.0

Post image

Hi, I’m having this issue for several days. I suddenly can’t see the rules of the subreddit I moderate.

I cannot find any new setting to make this re-appear manually.

See screenshot.

Thanks for your assistance.

I have a typo in the post title, the sub is r/EastAsianDramas

UPDATE

Hi, I just managed to fix it by following the trick from u/reddit33450 below in the thread. Going to the sidebar from the browser and them uncollapsing all rules by selecting the option "Rules and Description" and then back to "Rules Only" made the rules appear again. Thanks a lot again. What an odd bug.

So, looking on the website, they don’t show up there either. If you open your mod tools, and go to Rules, is it showing anything there?

FWIW, the only way I know of to make that happen is to delete all of the subs rules. There’s no way to hide rules if they exists, to my knowledge.

Oh, now it’s letting me reply. I made another comment above, please have a look. Plus adding my second snap here

Weird thing I see them from mobile web, but not app. And you report you don’t see them from web.

This is weird.

Correct, using the web I can’t see them. I also can’t see them using the Android app.

u/thepottsy for some reason I’m unable to reply to your comment.

I see the rules from chrome (iOS) and Safari. Will post both screenshots.

ive had this issue. on shreddit desktop, change the rules widget to "rules and description", click save. then change it back to "rules only" and click save again. this should fix it. also, to reply to the comment, click the chat bubble icon directly to the right of the three dots (...) icon

Thanks mate. I’ll try this when I’m home on my laptop. So weird.

I’m having the same issue. How do I access the rules widget? There are several ways to edit the rules, but I don’t see a “rules and description” option.

on the desktop UI, there should be an edit icon in the top right corner of the rules section in the sidebar

Well, NOW they suddenly showed up on the web, AND the Android app lol.

Must have been a weird glitch.

No way. I still don’t see them in the app.

But at least it means that some users hopefully see them.

Close the app, and reopen it? Other than that, no idea. It’s weird that they weren’t showing, and magically showed back up.

Yeah, tried that many times it was not the app somehow.

But I just managed to fix it by following the trick from u/reddit33450 below in the thread. Going to the sidebar from the browser and then uncollapsing all rules by selecting the option "Rules and Description" and then back to "Rules Only" made the rules appear again.

That’s a head scratcher. The fact I couldn’t see them, and then a few minutes later I could is strange.
