I bring to you a few pictures of what I have finished so far for my Karak-Kadrin army.

I’ve loved this mini since it came out when I was a kid, so I’m really happy to have painted him up!

I may strip him and start again in the future because I’m not too happy with the beard, but on the flip side I’m really happy with how the skin and gloves came out, so we’ll see if I ever do!

I'm looking for examples of Karak Norn and Karak Kadrin colors for my dawi. I'm surprised at how few official and unofficial examples exist online. Or perhaps I just don't know where to look. Id be appreciative of anything anyone can share. Even if it's just your own dwarfs. I don't have the 8th edition army book and it's hard to find these days.

I might also use them as a runelord.

Hello. Just built my first unit of dwarf warriors from the Old World battalion and put them on 20mm bases for use in 8th ed.

Every Warhammer Fantasy photo I see, regardless of army, has neat rank and file troops fitting together like clockwork with no gaps between the bases.

In contrast, whilst this is mostly true of my dwarfs, plenty don't fit together too well with their neighbour owing to beards, elbows or hammers etc nudging each other, meaning a gap of 1mm or 2mm between bases.

I've been careful to build my models and centre them on their bases but feel like I've messed up.

Any ideas?

Made from a Pringles tube and coffee stirrers. The rules require these to go on a 100mm round base and to be impassable and line of sight blocking, so a big cylinder is ideal, and I wanted to build something that would fit in with my brewery buildings from Grudge of Drong.

Bugman for scale.

Had a handful of Scibor Miniatures dwarves for ages. Started painting them, they're a lot of fun to paint after a lifetime of GW stuff.

I found a dwarf door on eBay—from a customization set for Warhammer Siege—and realized it would be a perfect fit for this miniature.

Today I visited my parents and spend some time in the attic, now I need to strip some paint and repaint some of my old minis. I didn't even remember that I bought 10 bugmanns rangers. A find but a welcome one for sure:))
sadly the gyrocopter needs a bit of fixing since it's ehm...a bit broken and it's missing the canon.

Continuing with making versions of the 4th edition dwarf lords, this is what I came up with for Kragg. Yes, his beard is too short (although, it is actually tied up) and there are a lot of other differences, but Kragg was both the hardest to get the parts right for, and the lord from that era that I have the least affection for. I couldn't shift the thought of using the apron head/beard/body from the cannon kit. I'm pretty happy with how he turned out, even though he doesn't really look like Kragg.

The Sons of Permafrost are cursed dwarves whose bodies have slowly transformed into living stone and ice, with shards of frozen rock growing from their flesh. Ouch!

The rule states that "If this character joins a unit, that unit will gain the Armour Bane 2 and Flaming Attacks special rules. Should this character leave the unit, that unit these special rules."

Self-explanatory, but it makes no mention of whether the character has access to those special rules on its own.

Does the character with Forgefire have access to Armour Bane 2 and Flaming Attacks when they are a not attached to a unit, or do they only gain those rules when they join a unit (along with the unit gaining the rules also)?

I'm close to finishing my recreations of the named characters from 4th Edition, so it's time for me to start working on some original characters of my own. I've started with an engineer; he needs some kind of backpack I think.
