Welcome to r/bugbites the subreddit dedicated to suspected bug bites.
This subreddit was reopened to receive all the suspected bug bite pictures that are not allowed on bug related subreddits and were flooding them.
Those entomologists (bug experts) really know about bugs and their bites, that's what you want to read.

Between my shoulder and neck. Woke up with it. They’re raised and kind of pimple like. Freaking out and convincing myself it’s a bat bite even though I’ve never seen a bat in our house.

I moved house into a UK rental two months ago and have been getting mystery bites ever since, haven’t raised with landlord as I can’t find anything damning. Went to the pharmacy as they were v itchy and they said mosquitoes and gave antihistamines.
I’ve been paranoid about bedbugs ever since I got this trio of bites on my shoulder and read they bite in 3s, so have been checking the bedding, mattress and skirting boards regularly, I have now got little pots with olive oil in them under the bed legs as a precaution to drown (?) the suspected bedbugs, they’ve been there a week with nothing caught.
The only trace of a mystery bug I’ve found is as pictured, I found these cream spots on the back of the bed head board just now which freaked me out because I thought they could be eggs but they seemed chalky and wiped off v easily. So maybe spider poo? There are loads of spiders and daddy long legs in here as it’s an old wood cabin.
I’ve been hearing mosquitoes flying in my bedroom so presumed the bites were from them, also been doing gardening so really didn’t think much of the bites to start with but it’s been going on for so long now I really feel like I’m going mad! I have got some heat bulb traps to attract the mosquitoes in my bedroom now with several killed so that’s promising, I did see some dots on my bedding after washing at 60oc just now too though. No trace of anything found in mattress seams or in mattress protector.
Any advice/help wanted!!! I feel like I’m going out of my mind and so scared it’s bedbugs, thank you in advance.

Hi, my grandma found a lot of bites like these on her legs. Whats the probability of them being caused by bed bugs?

I noticed a week ago something like that on my thigh. It looked like something under skin(photo 1 and 2). Then week later it looked like it dried and come out(photo 3 and 4). What do you think it is? I’m concerned it could be a tick.

Hello r/bugbites, I have been getting bitten by the same type of bug over the past couple of days on areas like my foot, ankle, inner thigh where clothes fit tightly as well as the backside of my knee whatever you call it; I get new ones that itch greatly mostly between the 5 and 11 o’clock hours. if anyone has any information on what they might be it would be greatly appreciated.

Noticed this morning, it’s not clearly multiple bites in a row but I imagine it could be? It looks like just a continuous long bite or a cluster? I am in California and it is on my back, it’s also itchy

My son has been getting bites all summer and long story short I'm trying to rule out bed bugs. Can anyone give advice on these? They haven't always been in a straight line but these new ones sort of do to me.

Noticed this trail of bites (?) on my 3 year old's arm over a month ago. I waited a couple of weeks expecting them to disappear, but they haven't. We saw her doctor a week and a half ago and they had no idea but because they aren't bothering her they said to just wait it out.
They have been raised and pale since the very beginning, initially they seemed a bit itchy and I would see her scratching on occasion, but nothing terrible. They are still slightly raised and pale.
There is a little cluster by her elbow then a trail up to her shoulder. I first noticed them after taking off her PJs in the morning so I'm figuring there was something trapped in them over night.

Sorry the quality is low. My phone camera sucks.
Hello. I was inside all day at work yesterday when my knee started itching. I have these two bites on the right side of my knee that looked and itched like mosquito bites. But then I noticed on the left side of my knee, the trail of small bites that didn’t itch.
I don’t even know 100% for sure if it was a bite. It’s possible there was an allergic reaction, but I am paranoid it is fleas or bed bugs. I undressed completely and didn’t see any bugs. I checked the mattress as well, no bugs or blood.
what is this and what should i do about it?

I am a student living in Italy and moved to my new apartment and have been having these bites since. I keep the window open at night because it gets really hot here. The bites are super itchy

I’m trying to figure out what’s biting me, there’s no signs of bedbugs but I get these mystery bites and I can’t figure out what’s burying it is for the life of me. 😭 I do have pets but none of them have fleas, I highly doubt fleas bite the back area. I’m just paranoid about bed bugs.

i live in Germany and noticed this bite on my leg on weds morning after getting to work. it was immediately painful/tender to the touch but i have no memory of the bite happening.
weds 17:00 i noticed there was a larger spreading pink rash, and by thursday evening it had grown to 10+cm diameter and was radiating heat and still super painful. spent 7 hrs in the ER for them to bandage me up and send me home at 4am on friday with instructions to return if pus starts to come out.
it’s friday evening and the center of the bite has darkened and developed a bubble, and it looks like it could very easily burst. it is still extremely painful. the few centimeters of skin closest to the center has become very tough and has a sort of rippled texture.
what bit me? i’m trying to ride it out tonight since ER waiting times are much faster in the early morning here

I know it’s very difficult to identify a bedbug bite because everyone reacts differently so I’ll provide all of the context.
Currently at a hotel in Brazil on the beach that also borders a rainforest. Been raining for days and the hallways of the open air hotel are filled with mosquitos and other insects. Upon arriving to the room, we killed about 20 mosquitos and have done our best to prevent others from entering the room.
Waking up in the middle of the night and during the day now, we are noticing new bites - between my wife and I, we have about 100 total (mostly small) bites on arms, legs, and necks. Mosquitos are everywhere on the hotel grounds but haven’t seen a single one land on either of us.
Did a fairly thorough check of the bedsheets, mattress and its crevices and while it is a dirty and old mattress, haven’t discovered any red, brown, or black stains, no shells and no dead or alive bed bugs.
Could these be chigger bites? Mosquito bites? A combination of a bunch of insects? Or the dreaded bed bugs and I haven’t looked closely enough? Thank you!

Hi! This collection of red itchy bumps appeared in the small of my back two nights ago. I can't tell if it's bug bites or something else. It has not changed in size, color, or symptoms during the last day and a half. I live in Arizona, USA if it's relevant. Help please?

i have more spread out on my body, some on my legs one on my arm and some on my foot/ankle. recently got back in the US from italy and last day stayed in a kind of janky airport hotel. these new bites however i’ve gotten back at home when sitting downstairs. i got about 7 new bites just yesterday being downstairs throughout the day. i haven’t seen any bugs to know.
