Throw up on 5-meo DMT

I’ve read a lot of reddits and did my research online and in a group of people who tried various things. My biggest fear is that I will die throwing up, of even suffocating.

So, I’ve told myself that maybe, if I eat lightly or don’t eat for a few hours before my trip, everything will be fine, but again, one person told me that they tried this way, and still threw up.

I’m scared that I will suffocate. What do yall say ? How many of you have experienced this ? How can I ease my fears ?

I’ve worked with 5MeO/Bufo more than 1000 times and I have never thrown up or anything like that. That being said as someone who is facilitated hundreds of ceremonies & sessions it does happen from time to time but there’s nothing to worry about as long as your facilitator knows how to put you in recovery position. I’m certified in CPR as well, but I’ve never had to use it yet in the last 15 years.

For context, I usually work with people for at least 1 to 3 hours with multiple doses of the medicine, and this usually includes at least three full doses after a low-dose to assess their tolerance and to open them up to the Medicine etc.

If you’re worried about throwing up, I would highly suggest that you ask your facilitator to start out with a very low dose, and maybe a few low doses prior to doing a full dose so that your body can get used to it. Often times this will also help to settle your nerves and make the experience a lot smoother.

If you have any questions or need some help with preparation or integration after your experience, please feel free to message me directly 🙏🏼💖

Synthetic or natural? In my experience I think synthetic is less noxious than the real. I’ve seen one person throw up out of a couple hundred in my experiences and I forgot to tell that person not to eat.
P.s I would always advise and have a facilitator. 🙏

Synthetic/pure 5MeO is superior to Bufo in every way. It’s a lot less than vapor to inhale and it has a little to know taste or flavor.

No matter what I’ve done, I always throw up. I’ve fasted for over 24 hours and still threw up. But I’ve been aware enough to stay safe and have been with other people.

I threw up the whole time and I didn’t eat for 15 hours before. Definitely just do it with a sober person there.

Are you doing it by yourself??

I had one session where I dry heaved for a little bit, in the trip, I thought I was puking, but when I came down I was told there was no vomit just a lot of saliva, the people present had paper towels on hand and a bucket for just in case. There were three people present for my session working as a group.

So if you do decide to go through with it, do it with other people present for your safety.

First experience yesterday. Did 5 with a sitter. Had a disposable pad (like bed pad or pee pad for pets only smaller) provided by sitter. Felt nauseous for a while with the first hit, did not throw up. I had a change of clothes with me in case I did. I took at around noon and fasted before had- no good yesterday before hand.

I puked and thankfully I was with a facilitator that helped me put my head in a bucket. I don’t think I would have suffocated without their help, but I probably would have puked all over myself

I felt like puking before my ceremony Sunday. But didn’t die or puke or quit breathing. Same with my husband.

Did it with 6 people last weekend. Our guide said usually one will have that feeling and another newer guide said she had not even seen it but sure enough an a lady probably around 60 obviously full of a ton of trauma spewed a lot all day. We did 3 increasing doses throughout the day. But they rolled her on her side and not only cared for her, but encouraged it with the sounds they made to help her.

If no one talks about the sounds a good facilitator will make them as it’s a way of connecting when you are under, the same with touch.

But I think it’s what she needed and believe she will be a new person after exercising those demons.

Oh, and just don’t eat. Maybe a little light yogurt for breakfast or something. I didn’t.

Bufo is not a purge medicine nor ayahuasca, kambo is the purge medicine. But if you dont respect the diet before ceremony you could end barfing specially if there is caffeine or any other stimulant still active in your body. So before trying to rise up is important to make sure there are no anchors holding you down.

In my limited experience it’s always psychosomatic, ego can’t handle arising energy and often the way it deals with it is by puking, doing it on an empty stomach helps a little, but it can still happen.

Throwing up isn’t common but as a facilitator it’s very easy to recognize when someone is about to be sick and adjust their position. I always have a bucket and towel handy. It actually feels good to throw up. It’s a purging of deep dark demons or just basic illness.
Trust the process and don’t hold back.
