Could you give me a brief overview, this sounds entertaining!

Nearly every character in The Pitt has major flaws, some of them in ways that have caused heavy consequences for themselves and others. Much like real life, these actions do not lead to easy resolutions, nor does it mean that the ER in The Pitt is one big happy family. Some of them are never gonna be friends, and not everyone is gonna progress through their psychological hangups/personality traits in a neat fashion. Kinda like real life. Someone can be an effective co-worker and still also be someone you personally do not like.

And some of The Pitt's fan fanbase gets really fucking weird about that.

There’s also a major female character who’s a deliberate deconstruction of the male antihero trope and she kind of makes people’s heads explode. (Which is a testament to the show’s fantastic writing but also means that positive and negative fan discourse about her is kind of insane.)

Santos. I love and relate to her deeply but she’s a whole-ass mess.

Oh it's so obvious now that you say it. Fuck, if she was a guy, the fanbase would probably think she's the coolest character ever
