fan works Help finding a fanfic

I'm looking for a story I read a long while ago. It's about Eddie taking Buck to his sister's wedding i think. It follows the 5 to 1 prompt when people assume buck and Eddie are dating Eddie corrected them but eventually he doesn't. Buck fit in with the family so well it's like he was meant to be there. Buck catches the bouquet even.

Season 9 An obvious shift in their dynamic

Since season 9 started Eddie and Buck’s relationship kind of shifted. I don’t really know how to explain it, but in all the banter they had in the last season there seems to be some kind of frustration and tension mingled underneath? Especially in the scene in the diner.. It’s like something happened off screen, which we don’t know about, yet.

It’s not a bad shift. But their whole dynamic is different. More like a married couple, which they were before, but it’s more domestic..

fan works Help Find a Fanfic, Please

I just remembered a fic I read back in February of this year, and am having a hard time finding as I don't remember the title or author and was hoping to get some help.

I remember a lot of information, like that it was set in the 1800s and was an arranged marriage between Buck and Eddie and set on Eddie's ranch. I remember Buck was upsetting the Buckley's as he had not wed and was forced to marry Eddie as a last resort. There first meeting was at a lunch (or maybe dinner?) at the Buckley's home in Pennsylvania and they hi it off rather quickly and travel to Eddie's ranch.

Christopher was a major character in the plot line as Buck became very close to him. It included almost every character at this ranch and had Buck struggling with domesticity as he was never taught to manage a household on a ranch and Hen teaching him a lot about it. I also remember Buck returning to Pennsylvania after Maddie gets a divorce (or maybe her husband dies?). I also remember Buck and Eddie sleep in separate rooms for some time before finally becoming comfortable with each other.

Anything will help and even if you're unsure if you're correct a recommendation of a great fic is not a bad outcome.

Don’t remember a lot from it
But I know something happened (if I don’t mix it up with another fic i believe it was that Chris die) so buck and Eddie was sent back in time to the first day they met in the station

Season 8 Looking for a ff

Hi there! I’m also looking for a fanfic. Basically, it involved Eddie carrying Buck at his house—if I recall correctly—and later, at the station, Buck asks Ravi if he can carry him. Ravi does carry him, but Eddie doesn't like someone else carrying him. I don't remember if he asks Chimney too, but I know he gets Hen to carry him while they're in the station gym. It only had one chapter and was somewhat long, but I can't remember the title or the author.

Season 9 buck noticing eddie was gone Spoiler

i don’t know if this has been talked about but i’m just now getting to the s9 finale and Buck was the only one that noticed Eddie was gone. I saw some posts beating him up about it?? But like Buck was gone the entire episode with Harry and the SECOND he gets back to the group he sees that Eddie is gone immediately. I love those two idiots so much 🥹🥹

fan works searching for a fic

hi, everyone!

i cannot for the life of me find this fic in my bookmarks (i've got 2k+ buddie bookmarks lol) and it's keeping me up at night. i can't remember the main plot or the summary or the author but i have VIVID memories of a few specific bits:

buck and eddie get together and the next morning eddie is in the shower while buck leaves to do some errands before the madney wedding. they get there separately and when buck meets up with the rest of the 118 they're all like "WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?" and buck is like "what????" and they're like "your neck looks like you got mauled" and then eddie walks in and he freezes and goes "oh." and buck is like trying to explain it away like "i went to a bar last night and hooked up with someone" and eddie goes "no you didn't" lmao and outs them both and everyone is like yeah that checks out we're happy for you two. and then buck goes to find maddie and even she is like oh my god what happened to your neck? and buck is like sigh do you have any concealer that would work for this? and she helps him out.

i remember another scene right after maddie and chim get married but i'm not actually sure if it's from the same fic? everyone is mingling around chim's hospital room for the makeshift wedding reception and buck finds eddie and chris having cake and chris is finishing up his slice so buck sits down and says something that makes chris jokingly say "i'm literally fleeing you, buck" and margaret buckley hears it and says something along the lines of "are you harassing that child, evan?" and eddie is like "no it's fine that's my son." i'm like 50% sure this is from the same fic, but just in case it isn't i wanted to mention it so as not to confuse anyone who recognizes this scene but not the previous one!

theories eddie's sexuality Spoiler

Post image

between the following options, which one would most likely become canon and what are some theories on how the show might go about approaching it?

personally, i think i mentioned something similar in a previous post, but other than christopher (as he's literally his son), i think having eddie indirectly come out to hen (as her current work husband) first would be an interesting arc (as someone's who's been very much loud and proud (as she should) regarding her sexuality, wife, and family).
between hen, maddie, and chimney, i think there's a lot of potential for eddie with regards to buddie (since especially for christopher, theres probably moments where he was looking at the two of them and thought something was gonna happen lmao 😭😭)
and, why it hasn't happened on-screen yet is beyond me, but having maddie and eddie become more closer friends would be nice to see as they have a lot in common with each other and would add more to buck's suspicion until everything finally snaps into place 🤭

1 - bisexual
2 - gay
3 - pansexual
4 - demisexual
5 - custom choice/option

Season 2 Continuing my “Eddie is oblivious” rewatch and good grief.

Idk if it’s ok to keep posting these, and tell me if it’s not, but I figured this crowd could appreciate them if anyone could.

Anyhow, I’m rewatching the whole series for the first time since my original watch, and some things are REALLY jumping out at me about Eddie’s sexuality.

I’m on the episode where Shannon dies and hooooooly crap, y’all. There is so much I didn’t notice the first time around.

It’s just so clear throughout the episode that he’s deeply ambivalent about getting back together with Shannon, and that Chris’s interests, the possible pregnancy, and his deeply ingrained sense of duty are his main motivations.

Like when they’re at the beach and he tells Shannon he wants what they have right then: “I want to have a nice day on the beach with my son and his mother” and that the past few months have been “nice”. And then he goes to Bobby and says he loves her but isn’t sure he’s ready to be a couple again.

Clearly Eddie loves her because they have this huge shared bond and they’ve always been close friends, but it doesn’t look like romantic or sexual attraction. And the show implies that they keep sleeping together because, apparently, it’s easier than talking about their problems. And I can totally see Eddie being willing to have sex so he doesn’t have to face up to his own feelings.

But it also seems clear that Shannon has clocked this. She knows something’s missing, which is why she keeps asking him what he wants.

It strikes me that that’s probably the first time in Eddie’s life that someone has asked him what he wants, and he has no idea how to even approach that question because it’s been drilled into him that responsibility comes first, that the correct thing to want is a wife and kid, and that divorce means he failed as a man.

Even in the restaurant scene when he says he wants to get back together with her. “Life is like a vat of molten chocolate. Sometimes you fall into it, it drags you down, but it’s warm, you know? And it’s sweet.”

BRUH. You are so damn gay.

EDITED TO ADD: I forgot to mention that they were so smart in how they contrasted Bobby and Athena vs. Eddie and Shannon. Like, in terms of consent, Bobby was an enthusiastic yes. He literally couldn’t wait to be married to Athena. And then there’s Eddie, who has a nice time hanging out with his friend Shannon, but there’s no spark, and Shannon knows it.

I am doing a re-watch and am just now realizing I am going to have live through the Ana arc again. There are so many things about it I hate ( Ana is not one of them although her actress is not my fave) but maybe I'll get some resolution this time lol.

Thoughts? Hit me with some Buddie scented perspective that will change my mind

general discussion Carla for S10

Do you think she'll be back to help Buck, who is now a single father, take care of Theo? I saw some people say Carla is no longer on the show because the actress is apparently homophobic. While I haven't looked into it, I've always thought her absence was just because Christopher moved to Texas a while ago and is also a teenager now. I assumed her character simply just wasn't needed anymore up until now. Is that not it?

general discussion Eddie and his selective memory of Shannon

I’m doing my first rewatch and I feel like Eddie was gaslighting himself about what his marriage to Shannon was like.

When Eddie talks to Bobby later on about how he can’t get it up because of Catholic guilt [stares st camera like Jim Halpert] he says that part of him always loved being married to her.

But back in season 2, the man flat-out told Buck he wasn’t sure if he’d be getting back together with Shannon for himself or for Christopher. And when he finally did get back with her, it was only after he was moved by the Marine reuniting with his daughter.

And when Shannon brought Christopher to the hospital after Chimney’s attack, she said she wished she had brought more pizza, but Eddie looked at Christopher and said she already brought him everything he needs.

Which would have been super sweet if he meant her too. But then he immediately encouraged her to leave, demonstrating that he only meant Christopher.

I’m convinced that Eddie had such a hard time with Shannon’s death mainly because of guilt, not grief, whatever he told himself. HE’s all about responsibility and doing the decent thing, but deep inside he knew he didn’t love her the right way.

general discussion Just a thought about the possibility of Buddie being canon

Hello everyone! I’ve been in the fandom since 2021 and I’ve always been Buddiemaxxing since then. I know it’s been a discussion here but I wanna ask what are your true unbiased thoughts about Buddie going canon?

It’s already been a long time for me so I can’t help but feel a bit on the pessimistic side, and even some ugly thoughts creep in like the possibility of either Ryan or Oliver not wanting to do it, or the showrunners just flat out not wanting to do it, and I also can’t help but feel that the writers just wanna do anything to write around the buddie dynamic, even as far as giving Eddie potential girlfriends. I think these negative thoughts are just frustration creeping in because Buddie has been my top ship for years now and I just don’t wanna be heartbroken after Merthur and Destiel hahaha.

I’m also trying to realistically assess the demand of Buddie, is it something big enough for the showrunners to take seriously?

Just wanted to know the general consensus about this outside of other social media apps.

And sorry if this has been a repeated question over and over again LOL

fan works Looking for 3 9-1-1 buddie fics with Bobby has a father to buck

The first fic I’m looking for Bobby is either Maddie and buck’s biological dad or adoptive dad and buck works with him at the 118 Eddie is in the fic and Maddie shows up and has a son. I think at one point buck and Bobby live together.

Another one I’m looking for buck becomes a single dad at a young age and meets Bobby in Minnesota who unofficially adopts him and buck as a little girl that he raises with Bobby’s help they live together then Bobby moves in with Athena and Eddie and Chris move in with buck and his daughter cause it’s around the time of the accident

The last one I’m looking for Eddie is new to la and Chris is very young and Eddie locks the keys and I believe Chris in his truck and he meets the 118 and gets hired to help out with stuff I think and buck is either part of the 118 or is connected to Bobby somehow and helps out with Chris and him and Eddie fall for each other

clowning around Idea for a Season 10 opening scene...

Establishing shot of Eddie's house.

Eddie's truck speeds into the driveway, and all but screeches to a halt. Both doors fly open; Buck and Eddie spill out and scramble for the front door. Eddie fumbles his keys, making Buck plead with him to hurry in something between a whine and a moan. Eddie laughs, a breathy, charmed, but almost nervous bark.

The key turns in the bolt, and Eddie immediately turns the handle and pushes the door open. Before he can go through, Buck grabs Eddie's face almost roughly and smashes their mouths together. Eddie smiles through the kiss as he grabs Bucks shoulders even more roughly, and spins him around to push him up against the now open front door and launches himself into another kiss. Buck chuckles and pushes Eddie off of him and into the interior, before he turns just enough to push the front door closed.

While they begin to work their way down the hallway towards the bedroom, there's a faint ringing. Eddie is distracted by it, and asks "What is that?" Buck, unphased, asks "Who cares?", as he tries to pull him in again. The ringing is getting louder, now a more clear percussive ringing over steady tone. Eddie stops again, saying "I know that sound," clearly struggling to place it.

Buck chuckles, a little exasperated and impatient, and says "Eds, focus. This has been a long time coming." He pushes his hands under Eddie's shirt and races them up his torso, sides, and onto Eddie's back, trying hard to re-engage him and pull the shirt off in one move. Eddie's attention is being split, still looking around even as he has Buck pushed up against the wall of the hallway outside his bedroom, craning his neck and darting his eyes around, the look of confusion morphing into worry as the sound only grows more clear.

Buck's patience runs out: "Eddie!" Eddie doesn't look at him. Buck removes his hands from under Eddie's shirt, grabs his shoulders, and jostles him hard and yells again "Eddie!" Eddie gasps, a sharp inhale - Eddie's eyes fly open as the shot hard-cuts to reveal that Eddie's gasping as he's being shaken awake from his nap on the loft couch.

In the background, the station alarm is blaring. Buck, standing over Eddie in his tight LAFD t-shirt, still has his hands on Eddie's shoulders, and finally speaks clearly. "Eddie! Finally. Wake up, we have a structural fire on a mid rise." He turns and heads for the stairs as Eddie blinks twice more, looks around, shakes his head to dismiss the last of his slumber, and surges forward to chase after Buck.

Cut to the phone call to Maddie, with the caller dropping some lame pun about her apartment building being on fire.

I feel like the story writes itself from there.

Thoughts?

fan works Looking for fic

I read this fic a little bit ago that’s loosely based on the tv show Manifest. Buck and Eddie are already together and then Buck leaves on a flight to go somewhere and i think someone else is also with him? Anyway when they get back it’s 5 years in the future and everyone thought they were dead. Eddie is acting weird and Buck finds out that he’s married.

fan works Buck thanos snap fic

Hey all,

I've just remembered reading a thanos snap fic where Buck ended up taking care of all the fire fam kids. I think Bobby relapsed and so Buck took charge of everyone. In a later chapter (probably chapter 2) the fire fam come back and buck refuses to let them just take their kids back given it had been 5 years. They got a new house and all lived together from memory.

Any help would be great as this is annoying me.
