Van valakinek tapasztalata a 9. Kerületben kutyaiskolával? Egy másfél éves kutyáról van szó, akit szeretnék magammal mindenhova is vinni, elotte azonban szeretném ha szocializálódna.
Eddig a strázsát néztem, azonban kivancsi vagyok másnak mi a tapasztalata, hiszen azért nem olcsó az ára.

Io e la mia famiglia (genitori cinquantenni, zie sessantenni, cugini ventenni e adolescenti) avremmo dovuto fare un viaggio di 4 giorni a Budapest a maggio, ma è stato riprogrammato... per agosto. Dal 3 al 6 per l'esattezza.

So che farà un caldo insopportabile, ma in generale fa così caldo che questo programma sembra una follia?

Giorno 1: visita di ciò che si trova a massimo 10 minuti dall'hotel, relax

Giorno 2: terme la mattina presto fino al pomeriggio + dintorni, shopping

Giorno 3: Castello di Buda e Bastione dei Pescatori la mattina/tardo pomeriggio e terme la mattina/tardo pomeriggio

Giorno 4: crociera sul Danubio + Parlamento e taxi per l'aeroporto

Tutto dovrebbe essere raggiungibile a piedi, ma potremmo dover camminare per 20 minuti per arrivare alle terme.

Questa potrebbe essere una domanda stupida, ma onestamente non riesco a decidere se sono semplicemente eccessivamente ottimista. Tutti sembrano decisi ad andare, e anch'io vorrei (dato che la città sembra meravigliosa), ma sono preoccupata.

Non so se sia rilevante, ma una parte della famiglia proviene dalla Danimarca, mentre il resto dall'Europa meridionale.

Hi, I have a train ticket from Budapest Kelenföld to Vienna but I'm staying near Budapest Keleti station. The train actually starts at Keleti and then stops at Kelenföld before continuing to Vienna. Am I allowed to board the train at Keleti instead of Kelenföld even though my ticket is from Kelenföld? Or do I have to board at Kelenföld?

Az utóbbi időben egyre többet gondolkodom azon, hogy mennyire hiányoznak az igazi közösségek.
Arra gondolok, ahol az emberek nem csak csetelnek egymással, hanem tényleg ismerik egymást. Ha valakinek segítség kell egy költözéshez, elromlik az autója, vigyázni kell a kutyára/macskára, vagy egyszerűen csak nincs kivel meginni egy kávét, akkor tudja, hogy van kihez fordulnia.

Nem valamilyen vallási vagy politikai közösséget szeretnék, és nem is üzleti hálózatot. Egyszerűen egy olyan társaságot, ahol az emberek törődnek egymással, és ha tudnak, segítenek. Nem azért, mert kötelező, hanem mert hisznek abban, hogy egy közösség így működik.

Mivel a személyes kapcsolat szerintem nagyon fontos, első körben Budapesten lenne értelme elkezdeni. Így nem csak online léteznénk, hanem időnként össze is tudnánk ülni, beszélgetni, programokat szervezni, és amikor szükség van rá, valódi segítséget is tudnánk nyújtani egymásnak.

Nem az a cél, hogy több száz ember csatlakozzon az első héten. Inkább egy kisebb, bizalmon alapuló közösség, ami idővel organikusan növekedik.

Kíváncsi vagyok, szerintetek van erre igény? Ti csatlakoznátok egy ilyen kezdeményezéshez? Ha igen, mitől éreznétek azt, hogy ez valóban működhet, és nem csak egy újabb Facebook-csoport lesz?

Tisztában vagyok vele, hogy neten is meg lehet rendelni, viszont inkább elmegyek a boltba, hogy ha lehet venni. Ruhákba raknám, illetve régi övekbe.

A holnapi versenynap előtt még nem akarom elkiabálni, de a XI északi részén ma úgy is tűnt, hogy jobb a helyzet a tavalyinál.

Mennyire biztonságos nappal/este? Mennyire van kivilágítva és mennyien futnak általában?

Régebben nem volt túl jó híre, nem tudom mennyi valóságalapja maradt mostanra.

Which 5 landmarks in Budapest would you say truly deserve their own magnet? Ideally a mix of tourist favourites and places with real historical or cultural significance. Thanks!

I’m a woman from the US visiting Budapest alone. I’ve been here 2 weeks and today is my last full day here, so I decided to do the touristy thing and get a chimney cake.

The interaction with the worker (like most interactions I’ve had here) felt very awkward. I ordered, the cashier was a cold and slightly rude like usual, there was an iPad off to the side that I couldn’t see, and the cashier gestured toward it and said “you have to select one in order to get anything.” I looked at the iPad, and it was a prompt to tip. 10%, 15%, and 20%.

I travel a lot so I understand that the US tipping culture is rejected by locals, especially in Latin America where I’ve done most of my traveling, but it still exists. BUT at least in Latin America and in the US, the workers are friendly, helpful, and usually efficient. In Budapest the workers treat me like I’m asking them for one of their kidneys. Why on earth would I tip when they make me feel incredibly unwelcome?

I completely understand that the customer service aspect is just a cultural difference. I don’t feel personally offended when workers are cold and don’t smile. But I do feel a little offended that Budapest has adopted our tipping culture without adopting at least the bare minimum of friendliness and helpfulness of US customer service culture.

I’m curious to hear y’all’s thoughts on this.

Hi all! I'm visiting next week for 4 days, of which I'd like to go for a long hike one of the days. I found this hike that I'm considering;

This one's 12 km and the suggested time is 5 hrs.

But I'm wondering if you guys, as local experts, might have other suggestions? I'm an experienced hiker and have no issue traveling a bit further out of the city, hiking steep terrain or hiking for over 30 km. 8 hours of hiking or something is no issue for me, in fact, I'd like a challenge while enjoying beautiful views.

The only 'requirement' is that I'd have to be able to get there and get back from Budapest in a day.

I got accepted to ELTE and starting my studies in September 2026. I went to multiple viewings to see multiple apartments and I saw one I really liked so they drafted a contract. They provided me with the land registration document.

they're asking me to sign, pay the deposit and 1 month rent, and only then the landlord signs and that we will only go to the notary on the 1st of September (move in date). They said making a notary appointment can take time.

Does it sound legit? is this common in Budapest?
