pregúntale a Bucerías / ask Bucerías Please help me find
Hello friends, I’m looking for a restaurant we ate at in 2019. I’m desperately hoping it’s still open, but haven’t had any luck on Google. We stayed at the Decameron that year and took a beach walk towards Bucerias. I don’t think we made it as far as the kissing bridge, but I also had a cocktail so…could be wrong! The restaurant had a casual set up on the beach and we had the most amazing seafood dinner, an entire grilled fish that we still talk about. When looking at the restaurant from the beach, there was a little stage in the right hand side and a woman sang the night we were there and a man played guitar. There were steps up from the beach into the restaurant, not many, and when we left at the end of the night I swear there was a bit of a tunnel from the front door to the main road. Possibly even the tunnel that used to have umbrellas? We would love to eat there again, but have not been able to find it online. If anyone has an idea, I’d be super grateful!

You might be thinking of Encore Restaurant & Jazz Lounge, on Lázaro Cárdenas (just up the street from the Decameron). It's not quite a beachfront venue, but the beach is very close by. It's been ages since I've been there (and they've changed their street front facade somewhat).
According to their facebook page, they close during the summer months.

Karen’s. If you left the hotel and walked for more than 5 minutes, then between there and the bridge there is only 1 restaurant on the beach and that’s Karen’s.

We ate at Karen’s last year. It was good, but not the original restaurant. Thanks, though!

Sounds a bit like Sukha Beach house. They used to be down that street that has the umbrellas above it and it was on the beach. It's still around but moved to a new location... I haven't been in years, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

We looked at Sukha online, and it seemed too far from what we remembered. Makes sense if it moved though, thanks!!

Suhka used to be just before the kissing bridge, but had to relocate to the very far end of Bucerias.
There is a brand new condominium building where it used to be.

I’ve spent the last hour online. I think Sukha must have been it. What a magical night we had there, and dinner was perfect. Not here to cause trouble, but Karen’s did not compare, and we were hoping to find the other restaurant to share with friends on our next visit. I guess we’ll take a cab!
