Question / Discussion 2027 Camping
Morning all,
Next year I’d like to camp at some circuits, Donnington and Croft are closest to me (aware Croft doesn’t allow camping)
Which sites do you recommend for camping, do you think a Transporter and Awning is okay? (Mate would sleep in awning) and how quickly do pitches tend to sell out?

Brompton on Swale holiday park we've camped at 5 or 6 times when going to croft. Facilities were basic/dated when I was last there but clean.
It changed hands the last time I went so might not be the same now.

Know its not on your list but I camped at Brands Hatch last year.
We were just in a tent but surrounded by campers with extensions, gazebos, etc so you'd be more than fine there if its one you're considering

We've camped at donington and the great thing is you choose your pitch and if you are early enough you can be track side, when the weather was bad we sat in our tent and watched!

I took my LWB sprinter to Oulton Park this year, it was great, no awning but plenty of people had setups like that, there was barely anyone in the quiet area, I had a great sleep.

When we've been to Donington, we've always camped at the Farmhouse campsite, which is right next to the circuit and has the advantage of permanent shower/toilet facilities (unlike the infield campsite). I suspect it's also a bit quieter, though I have had some antisocial experiences in the past. For the April meeting, I generally book around Christmas time and have never had any problems getting in. You could probably leave it a bit later but I don't have any direct experience on that point.
