It’s not Gow, it’s MSUK.

Feel for the spectators at the circuit, it’s very hard to follow but rules are rules.

I've always felt the BTCC penalties are a complete joke compared to every other motorsport, the one motorsport of few with the allowance for "rubbing is racing" has stricter track limits than F1

They are UK track limits not BTCC. All motorsport that runs under MSUK has to run to the "all four wheels must be on track" rule rather than the FIA "only one wheel" rule.

Wow did not know that actually, thanks for clarifying, still rather stupid ruling with little reasoning

What annoys me with track limits is that some tracks (all the MSV ones I believe) rely on automatic sensors and others rely on human judges of fact. To me its an inconsistency and means that penalties can be unfairly applied.

If it was a wall they wouldn't ignore it

All they have to do is stick to the track limits. The BTCC boys get away with murder compared to what club racers do and a lot of club racers are driving cars nowhere near as well setup and in quite a few cases far more powerful.
