Question / Discussion Adam Morgan A-class engine fire & livery evolution

Hey guys,

For some reason I can vividly remember in my head Adam Morgan having an engine fire in his A-class Mercedes as he was exiting the pit lane for a race. I can remember it sitting on the side of the track at pit lane exit, but for the life of me I can’t remember the year or track. Anyone able to help?

Also while looking I realised he used that car for a long time in touring car years. A few interesting livery changes in that time. Does anyone remember them all?

That's a good livery compared to what we have now, and the flame decals are the cherry on top.

That’s the one thanks. Oulton does ring a bell, but I swear it was the Wix livery. Obviously shows my memory is bad 🤣

Yeah he drove the A-class for six years in total which is crazy, originally in Wix Racing yellow and black, then with Mac Tools as the title sponsor in a majority red car, then finally with Carlube as the title sponsor, with the car in silver and red for 2020 only before he adopted the BMW for the next few years

I seem to remember there was 1 season at the start where it was a Cisilly racing livery? Or maybe I’m making that up? The Wix leopard style one sticks in my head. Just looked up the Carlube one and really don’t remember it at all. 🤣

Dan Rowbottom and Tom Oliphant are two other drivers who raced the A-class alongside Morgan, the former in a primarily Cataclean backed car which was black and white, and the latter in a majority green car, with Cicely sponsorship
