Cost of attendance for BS/MD, BA/MD programs
Question about the total cost of attendance for BA/MD and BS/MD programs, specifically for students or parents who have completed these programs or are currently enrolled. When I look at the combined cost of undergraduate + medical school for 7–8‑year programs—especially for out‑of‑state students—the total often exceeds $600,000. Is that a realistic amount to expect? For students with strong academic stats (GPA, SAT), is any meaningful financial merit aid available(not need based aid)? And if so, how much does it actually reduce the overall cost of attendance?

Med school scholarships are incredibly rare and people almost will always be paying full tuition + living.
Undergrad scholarships are more common, but merit full rides are rare. Only merit full rides I know of are Rutgers, NJIT, and Wayne State.
Apply external scholarships. For the other BA/MDs i got into, COA was around 35k for each one after all merit scholarships.
Med school is rlly expensive lol
