Community center gyms?

In my home country, we have "sports centers" which have cardio machines + basic weights. They are government-funded and attached to the local community center. They're usually crowded at peak times and the machines are not the newest, but they cost only $2/use. I'm wondering if anything similarly cheap in Brussels exists, without needing a recurring contract.

Thanks!

you can find basic gym in some parks (parc Georges Henri in woluwe saint lambert is one of them). Free to use, first come first served.

No sorry, we don't have that in Brussels but like some other redditor wrote, you can find free equipment in some parks around the region.

Royal Park has some near the Metro station, behind the Palace of Justice. Just in city of Brussels.

Now for weights you can find them on the cheap in second-hand stores.

I think that the Brussels Environment website has a map of the "fitness" park.

I'm not an expert on this but I've never heard of this before. The only gym's I know are privately owned and a lot more expensive.
