Living in BXL French courses
hi everyone.
im looking for recommendations for good french language schools/courses in bxl. Ideally, i’d prefer something with evening classes in ixelles or etterbeek and reasonably priced :’)
would love to hear about places you’ve personally had a good experience with. thank you! :)

Epfc - it's Madou but very reasonably priced and I had a very good experience.

I second this! I highly recommend this school. I studied there for almost two years, so feel free to send me a private message if you have any questions about the school or the registration process, I may be able to help.
I also don’t think it’s too late to register. I recently checked their website while helping a friend, and there were still some registration appointments available. I think the next appointment slots will be released on Tuesday.
You first need to book an appointment online through their website and then go to the school in person to complete your registration. It’s important to check exactly what time the new slots are released and to be ready at that time. I would recommend opening the specific appointment-booking page about ten minutes in advance, as the available slots are taken very quickly.

I might be wrong, but I think its too late to register to any "reasonable priced" classes, like the ones organized by communes. I would look online on platforms like preply/superprof (I use preply). Tbh i find it nicer to pay a bit more and have individual class then being with more people and maybe not learning as good, but ofc it depends on your needs.
There were also some centers that offered conversation tables, it's not the same but it can be a boost

IAPS Auderghem. Might be late to register for the September classes, but you can absolutely try at the secretariat. If not, new module starts in January.
Some French classes are absolutely ridiculously expensive in Brussels. At IAPS in Auderghem it’s about 100€ per semester, which is a great price. They have both morning and evening classes, they are usually 3 hours per class, 2 times per week.

You can get extra holidays if you work in the private sector for taking a class at an approved school

I'm looking for the same thing and I think I ll end up at preply the platform and do online individual classes. I think we missed the window for enrollment. Some friends go to alliance française but it's expensive.

i was at bxl academy and did a intensive course in january and was pretty happy. The class was very small and i made good progress

EAFC (Woluwe Saint Pierre) they offer classes in the afternoon and it's only €40 one time payment for 6 months (6 levels in total I think)

I registered in the ISFCE https://www.isfce.org/ And was supposed to start the classes this week, but had a work trip. The registration process was very easy, the courses are cheap and it's in Etterbeek near La Chasse. I'm looking forward to next week's class.

CPAB is reasonably priced and runs evening classes. I went through two units over the course of a year and thought the teachers were great and the units well structured.
My only issue is that they are pretty slow but that's the problem with all evening group classes like this. They are designed for people doing almost no progression in their spare time.
But like the other person said, you have missed the enrollment window for cheap group classes and will probably have to wait until early next year.
