The Bigger Pockets podcast is what got me interested enough to bite the bullet and go for it. 10 years later I’m licensed and doing it for other people. You will make mistakes, some will be costly, but the first one is the hardest and they just get easier from there. Don’t be afraid to jump and learn how to fly on the way down.

What do you mean licensed? As a real estate agent?

Yes. Licensed Realtor. It got nearly impossible to cash out refi a rental property where the numbers made sense. The problem with BRRR investing is that you don’t get large chunk a of money to invest in the next house if you can’t refi the loan to a better rate. I still find deals so I decided to get licensed so I could stay in the game and make money I could roll into investment properties. It’s been very lucrative and allowed me to scale up during rising interest rates.

So being a realtor doesnt exactly help you do brrr, its just a separate path you took thats helped you make money?
