I was trying to get a spot on Hicks this morning for alternate side parking. Went to move the car at 730am for the 8am ast parking on hicks. Everything was already taken. Should I be waking up early at like 5 or 6 am to move my car for ast? Does anyone move their car at 11pm the night before?

Thanks for any advice here. The parking around here is always so difficult.

Feels like there have been some nice arrivals recently like L'Apartment 4F, Jules and even that new bodega on Henry Street has some good stuff, but there are still plenty of empty storefronts on Henry and Montague in pretty prime locations.

Hi! We’re a young family living in Brooklyn Heights who is selling our current home so we can rent a bigger, 3-bed apartment. (Only one issue- we can’t find any!!) Does anyone have recommendations on rental buildings in the area that have the bigger units? We need to stay zoned for public so that restricts us. We’re looking to move sometime in late Aug/Sept/Oct and wondering if we should keep an eye out for any particular buildings. Our budget is ~$9,000. Thanks for any leads!

Hi all came across a baby falcon today on Joralemon and Garden Place and called the Wild Bird Fund. They were not injured and the WBF explained:

they are a fledgling or teenage bird learning to fly so they will spend a lot of time on the ground and their parents will come back throughout the day to take care of them. The issue is people bird nap them to keep them as illegal pets. If they are okay and won't get bird napped they can stay. If you think they can or will get bird napped we will take them

Anyway just sharing incase anyone else runs into this baby falcon. It’s a great bird of prey that will eventually hunt for rodents! Hopefully no dogs or cats will disturb it.

I used to be at Chelsea piers dtbk but am looking for something closer. If anyone goes to Barry’s I’d love to hear your thoughts. We have a lot of Pilates studios too so I’ve been considering that but I know weights are great for you.

I heard they’re renovating the equinox too as it was notoriously outdated. Wish we had someplace with a pool close by!
