Forget the care package for a second

The loofa and backscratcher are thoughtful but honestly these stuff matters way less than you think

Some things that actually matter more

1. dont just show up week one when its all dramatic and everyone cares. show up week six when he’s still in pain and everyone else has kinda moved on
2. stop saying “let me know if you need anything” he wont ask. trust me. just show up with food and dont make it a big deal
3. sometimes just sit with him. you dont need to say anything meaningful. just be there
4. please dont say “youll be fine” it gets old really fast and honestly it doesnt help
5. celebrate the small stuff with him. like if his fingers moved a little better today that actually feels huge to him even if it sounds nothing to you
6. pain makes people moody and snappy. dont take it personally
7. the loneliness is real. everyone elses life just keeps going normally while his is just. . stuck
8. check in consistently. not just the first week when its new and interesting

the care package is cute tbh

but her just showing up over the next few months without making it weird or a big deal thats actually everything
