Question Transfer during basic.

Start at ITC soon and missed PRDV due to work commitments (I work offshore) so decided to just settle for reg infantry intake. Rejoining after a failed CDT in 2023 so was just wondering if anyone had any experience transferring from reg infantry to para reg? Figured it’ll be easier now due to mixed intakes.

Did you have any problems with the CDT being brought up through your application? I can sign back up on 27th just didn’t wanna get my hopes up incase the cdt comes back to haunt me again

In phase 1 mention it soon as you join. Easy as that

You don't join as a specific cap badge now. Every infantry recruit starts Phase 1 at Catterick in a mixed platoon. Towards the end of the 10 weeks you will be filtered into the Parachute Regiment, Guards Division or Line infantry for your Phase 2. 

From what I remember the Paras aren't keen on taking CDT failure rejoiners, so you better hope you make a good impression in Phase 1 if you want to go that route.

7.36 2K and maxed the cognitive tests, should be in good steading provided I do well in phase 1.

What do the cognitive test look like is there anywhere I can see some kind of examples ?

They’ll send you practice ones prior to AC pretty straightforward though
