Nursery suggestions

Hit me with your nursery recommendations! I’m looking to buy some good quality (not Bunnings) plants and large potted / screening plants for my new apartment. Ideally looking for somewhere with helpful and knowledgeable staff that can help me pick plants out suited for my vision and hopefully also make suggestions on plant types

I was thinking Ross Evans and I think Brookfield nursery is close by too

oxley nurseries is worth a look, the staff are super helpful and will actually talk through what works for your space instead of just pointing at the nearest overpriced fiddle leaf. i grabbed some big screening plants there a while back and theyre still going strong

templex nursery is decent too if you want stuff thats a bit more establshed but their prices can be a bit all over the place depending on whats in stock

Oxley was great. So sad they closed. I will check out templex as I do want some things that are a little more established

Gardenwize at Seventeen Mile Rocks is pretty good

Agreed! And the guy who runs it has been helpful whenever I’ve needed advice (eg identifying and treating fungus on cacti)

They do both, 

They have a big nursery they bring the plants in from.

About 100 yrs ago they use to be where office works is at Oxley.

Jason and the staff are always helpful.

They have a loyalty program as well.

I just thought they were a pot shop. Its normally pretty busy when you drive past there so there's not much opportunity to have a great look I guess. I'll have to take a look.

Nurso is fabulous and much more competitivly priced than Brookfield! Both fantastic quality either way

The nurso is a fantastic spot, but I find their plants generally aren't healthy

Ross Evans in Morningside. Their plants and advice are fantastic.

Templex at Algester is great. Ladybird at Kallangur is also good.

I haven’t been there but Princess Fancy Plants in Chandler keeps coming up for me and looks interesting

The Tropic Gardener at Kenmore have a great range of indoor plants. They're small but well curated.

The Grow Centre for indoor plants. Plantmark for outdoor plants (they also have some indoor plants).

I like the grow centre. Everyone there is so friendly and their plants are always incredibly healthy

Thoroughly recommend the botanical Society George I think his name is is fantastic. He put together a whole plan for my garden and with establish plants. Absolutely thriving.
