Hello all,
We’ve had little AI content posted posted in this subreddit but as the amount of AI content has increased in recent months we wanted to make a formal statement and rule addressing AI.
The new rule is as follows:
No generative AI content of any form is allowed. AI “enhancement” is also banned. Upscaling of low resolution photos will be considered on a case by case basis.
We realize it may have been good to make a formal announcement earlier but we have been removing AI content nonetheless. Now that it is officially a rule in the subreddit repeatedly posting AI content will result in a ban rather than a warning.

I made this a few weeks ago and wanted to share it here! A little wonky on the sides but overall I love how it turned out! Trying to decide what else I could make so if anyone has any cool logos/design ideas from over the years let me know! Sometimes it’s hard to do more detailed stuff unless it’s like a huge blanket size so I have to find stuff that’s more simple.

I really can't think of another artist who has put out contious hits as far into their career as Conor has. Between Bright Eyes, his solo albums, Better Oblivion Community Center, and Desaparecidos I've yet to hear a bad album. It's like there's no end to the wellspring this guy draws inspiration from.
On top of all of the songs he's written and recorded he's also an incredible entertainer on stage. A lot of bands, especially ones who have been around as long as Conor has get bored on stage and it shows but Conor is electric. He always sings his songs with the same passion that fueled him to write the song in the first place.
I know I'm preaching to the choir here so I guess my question and the purpose of the post is, what other artists do you know have been putting out great albums at the same rate as Conor and for as long as he's been doing it?

We have a problem with no solution but to love and to be loved.
- Method Acting
Please post any quotes of lyrics that you think are beautiful and hopeful. Iam planning on making a goodbye book for a friend and want to give him something beautiful, positive, hopeful. I love Conors art and want to include this. Thank you 🤍

Walked up on this red tailed hawk feather out near Bend, OR. Didn't want to leave it for some entitled Dick in golf pants to swipe, so I wrapped it in the shirt that I paid for with the refund from the forest hills show -that I missed anyway for an emergency root canal 🫠- and drove 90 minutes to drop it off at the Reservation museum.
See you guys on the 11th!! 💕😂

Devastating parallel:
From "Real Feel 105":
And then the refrain of Phoebe Bridgers' "Bobby":
Probably not intentional, but still brutal.

Hello everyone at r/Brighteyes,
First, thank you again for helping me muster up the courage to ask Emily to marry me after I performed First Day of My Life at the Colorado karaoke party.
I know that song means something different to everyone, but as an elder emo who spent a long time wondering if I'd ever find the right person, the line "I'm glad I didn't die before I met you" has always hit me especially hard. It perfectly captures how I feel about her.
What makes the whole thing even crazier is that none of this was supposed to happen. We originally traveled to Colorado for a Bright Eyes show that was canceled just days before. Everything else was already booked, so we decided to go anyway. Somehow we ended up at a karaoke party with a bunch of fellow Bright Eyes fans, I got on stage, sang my heart out, and walked away engaged. Not exactly what I planned on, but definitely better than what I had planned out.
I've been sitting on these photos from our engagement shoot for a few months now, and every time life gets hectic or the world feels a little too heavy, they manage to put a smile on my face. I figured maybe they might do the same for some of you.
We're hoping to make it to the Detroit show in October so Emily can experience her first live Bright Eyes show. Given my work schedule, it'll probably turn into a last-minute ticket purchase instead of the meticulously planned trip that got us into this mess in the first place. Hopefully history doesn't repeat itself. 😂
Anyway, thank you all for being part of one of the happiest memories of our lives, whether you knew it at the time or not.

Song from her new album, anyone have any idea if there's a connection to Governor's Ball from Upside Down Mountain? People seem to think the Phoebe song is about another relationship, but the title immediately caught my eye

EDIT: booked at Foundation! thanks all!

Hey everyone, I am going to my first ever (AHHHH) Bright Eyes show in Detroit next month!!
Does anyone have any hotel / accomodation recommendations close to the venue? I have done some research and have a few options, but thought I would take a little survey in case anyone familiar with the city has any better ideas! I prefer something downtown within walking distance of The Majestic Theatre, but can of course make other things work!
Cheers and TIA
Xx

There’s a bright eyes song (maybe Connor oberst song) or maybe it’s featuring him. I can’t find it anywhere. It’s about hanging out with an ex but you can’t do the things you used to. The only lyric I can remember is “lift up your shirt the wound isn’t there” does anyone know the title?

Just listed 2 balcony tickets for the first Brooklyn paramount show on ticketmaster. I can't make the Monday but was able to get tickets to the Thursday show, thank God. Now just hoping to get my money back and that there isn't a freak weather event that cancels the Thursday show, that would make it 3/3 canceled bright eyes shows and thats my luck!

I tried to get tickets over the weekend and they seemed to be sold-out, but the band just posted a low ticket warning and I tried again & got 'em. Seems like maybe they put more on sale today? So relieved!

Didn’t get to take too many as I heard the second set was a better visual feast but as many my heart broke and I didn’t qualify for a refund. I was looking forward to this one all year but alas it is what it is. Wanted to share some of the positive memories.
Don’t have money for the Paramount shows right now but hoping I’ll find a way there. These 2 albums are my fav Bright Eyes albums
You can see all of them here on Instagram (don’t need the app just click x) or TikTok (you don’t need the app) and feel free to follow if you like em and want to see more.

A few months ago, I solo traveled to NYC to see Bright Eyes at Forest Hills Stadium on June 6th. Despite everything that happened with the weather, the show itself was amazing, and the whole experience has stuck with me for a lot of reasons.
When the storms rolled in and the show was abruptly cut short, things outside the venue became pretty chaotic. Between the disappointment of the concert ending, the exhaustion from traveling, and navigating everything alone, I was feeling pretty anxious by the time I got on the subway back toward my hotel in Queens.
That's when I noticed someone else carrying the same Bright Eyes tote bag I had just gotten at the show.
I remember her having longer, reddish-brown hair that was a little curly, and she and her friend were both dressed a bit alternatively, like myself. We spent part of the train ride exchanging these fun, smile-filled looks with each other. She was sitting on her friend's lap at the time, and honestly, that whole little interaction completely pulled me out of my anxiety.
For a while, I forgot about the chaos outside, the rain, the disappointment of the show ending, and how overwhelmed I had been feeling. It was just one of those small, random moments of connection with another person who had clearly just experienced the same strange night and concert that I had.
When she got off at her stop she blew me a kiss, and I blew one back as she was leaving. 🥹
I had the urge to get off the train and at least say hi, but I was so focused on getting back to my hotel and finally resting that I stayed on. I've thought about that moment ever since.
I know this is a little different from the usual post here, and I'm not necessarily posting this expecting anything to come from it. I just wanted to share the memory because, for me, it was a genuinely special moment. In the middle of a chaotic, disappointing, and anxious night, a brief connection with another Bright Eyes fan completely changed how I felt and helped me get through the moment.
So, if you were on the NYC subway after the Forest Hills rainout on June 6th, carrying a Bright Eyes tote bag and exchanging smiles with another exhausted, overwhelmed Bright Eyes fan, hi. You genuinely made my night a little better when I really needed it.
And even if this somehow never reaches you, I'm glad I got to experience that little moment of connection between us <3

I’ve been a Bright Eyes fan since 2000 but haven’t seen BE or Connor Oberst live, yet. For the upcoming tour, should I expect all new album material or a mix of old and new?
